She's living the good life ,what a great idea she's at a place where she can stay all winter I'm up in Maine area and you cant stay in those places so you have to find a place to go with your home. I so want to live this life I don't have the funds at this time to do it ...she seems like a very smart strong woman with dignity and grace I'd love to be her neighbor...

This is great. I'm happy to learn that other students are turning to the RV life while getting their education. I hope Alexis all the luck in her journey. I'm in my late twenties and am returning to school this fall after a several year absence and have recently sold my house to pay for tuition and have bought a used 5th Wheel to park at a campground near my school full time while studying. I'm not planning to move it around very often - I don't even have a truck, just a little economy car - but love the idea of saving a massive amount of money (park rent is less than half the cost of the average rental apartment around here) while being able to move it at a later date when I graduate and seek out employment in my field. The freedom to pack up and move at whim, without being beholden to a apartment contract or having to sell your house first is wonderful.

It’s awesome to see young people living their dreams an saving money. As a mother of 3 grown men. I decided when my youngest graduated to take my life as a traveling surgical Technician and actually travel. I have since bought a cheap pop up after camping in a tent for 2 months and am saving for my 5th wheel...people at work think I’m crazy and constantly ask me if I’ve moved into an apartment yet here I. Northern Illinois....no... I love my freedom.... I love my peace.... Lake Michigan is beautiful even at 30 degrees...never let anything hold you back!!! When I buy my new to me 5ver...I am giving my pop to my son so he can live his dreams and see what’s possible

I am doing the same thing. I bought a camper when I was a sophomore in highschool and renovated it to have a place to live during college and save money on rent. Mine I have parked on family land. I’ve been in it since September, though I didn’t use the plumbing system while it was cold because I didn’t want to deal with bursting pipes, I just hauled water in containers. Now with warmer weather and all the rain we’ve been having I have to run a house size dehumidifier a few times a day. Luckily I built it into my design so it has a home out of the way.

I’m just starting to watch this video right now and I liked the few few words she said. Let me tell you, you are not the first black person that thinks like that. Forty years ago I had the same exact ideas and did the same thing and owned a trailer the same size as yours. Watching this video takes me back 40 years ago. We think just alike and yes I’m African American too and back then I was just a young man just finished my military service and my dream was to work and travel. I started with a travel trailer , then later I traded up to a motorhome. That was my lifestyle and I liked it more than living in a rented apartment. And it afforded me the ability to travel and be free. I worried about winters too. But living in California it was not too bad. What you are experiencing now , I experienced 40 years ago. I bought my trailer when I was in the Marines. Good luck to you and much success, remember this is a lifestyle , and don’t let people judge you because they don’t understand why you like this. Also I had a motorcycle too. Great video. I would love to see your video a year from now with an update. Thanks for your story. It brought back many memories.
