As an alternative to using foam for the breasts, you could use sections cut from giant shatterproof Christmas ornaments. 8" to 12" ornaments often go on sale around Christmastime. These are easy to cut with a tinsnips and are rigid and paintable with enamel.

I’m on the smaller side myself and I’ve actually found that making my own cosplay is a lot easier because of it. If you’re sewing, you don’t have to worry about darts as much. And if you’re making armor, you won’t have as much of a hassle making it so big and rounded (which seems tricky). I also like to cosplay guys and I don’t have to mess around with binders. A sports bra or 2 works just as well! Count your blessings girl! And don’t let your size hold you back. Cosplay whatever you want and I’m sure you can make your costumes look amazing! Much love to my fellow itty bitty titty committee members 💕 I know you feel ostracized sometimes but take it from me, who’s almost 19 and still hasn’t developed much more, your breast size doesn’t matter a whole lot in the bigger picture. You’re the one who will notice it the most. And if anyone notices and acts as though having a smaller chest is a bad thing, they aren’t worth it. Surround yourself with people who love and accept you and it’ll rub off you. I wish I would’ve known that at a younger age when all my “friends” started developing and they made fun of me for not filling in my training bras. Everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. You don’t need big boobs to be beautiful to others and, most importantly, to feel beautiful yourself. Sorry for going on a rant but I’m very passionate about this subject 😅. Hope this helped you out a bit!

Hey, as a fellow itty bitty titty committee member, I’ve found that it’s actually easier to make cosplay items like this if you have a smaller chest. You don’t have to worry about rounding the plates out as much, it stays on easier most of the time, and you don’t have to worry about popping out if it while at a convention. You’ve got this! Cosplay whatever the heck you want!

wait.....SO THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT ARE BETTER AT WORBLA THAN FOAM? okay I'm not insane bc I loveeee worbla but I cant use foam at ALL it doesnt make sense in my head.
@HrvatskiHistory5 жыл бұрын
Worbla is classified for intermediate/advanced cosplayers primarily because of cost I think. Like they’re willing to spend more for the better product, and know they won’t be wasting money because they know what they are doing. Foam is classified for beginners because it’s cheap so it’s easier to replace if you make a mistake.

The question I have is what are the best products to buy for this. What I mean is, brand and minimal length by width size of the EVA foam, the Worbla sheets (you show one that rolls out but I haven't found that yet), what size acrylic sphere (and any other details about that) and if there is a kind of heat gun that works best and a brand of contact glue that works best. Also, it looks like Worbla can get quite a bit more expensive than the foam. If you don't use Worbla would it be better to use 6 mm foam? Are there brands of either that you recommend either for quality or price?

@pokelolmc68265 жыл бұрын
Yes, contact cement is basically another name for contact glue. I’ve used contact cement from a hardware store for EVA cosplay armour before. Despite the name, it’s not actually “cement” - the stuff I used was a semi-runny, stringy glue. I used stuff from a can instead of a squeeze tube like the video, but it should be the same stuff.
