This is good information, my female Shih tzu just had puppies 4 months ago and it looks like she's going in heat again so Thank you now I know small breeds can go in heat 3 to 4 times a year she'll definitely be going in heat soon

I so wanted to have at least one litter from my sweet baby girl Niya, who is a 5yr old Blue Nose Pitbull. I wanted her to have a litter, so I could get a Male puppy and then spay her and have him neutered. That way, when her times comes to pass, I would at least have more time with her son, until his time comes and that would be the end of me owning any more pets and then I'd go travel the world but her last cycle was just too much for me! She went in heat and literally bled for almost a full month. The clean up, pads, maintenance, laundry, her discomfort, anxiety and my sanity were all tested!... She is scheduled to be Spayed in 3 weeks. I cannot go through another heat cycle again with her and truly feel this is for the very best!.... 😔

Madd Man I can’t speak to that breed specifically, but our doodle started at 6 months. Different breeds and different dogs can start at different times. This is why it’s a range.

Yes I have a 5 month old standard F1b Goldendoodle and she just got back from the groomer yesterday (it was her first time going to the groomer’) and she keeps licking herself where her privates are, and I thought I saw blood once but I wasn’t sure, because I only saw it right when we got back from the groomer and I haven’t seen blood since. They did cut the fur around that area so it might just be because of that it she also peed in our house yesterday which she hasn’t done in a very long time..l
