Did you know Janny Wurtz is married to the tremendous fantasy painter Don Maitz who painted the covers for the Sunset Warrior and Book of the New Sun series not once, but twice? Three words about Robin Hobb: you'll be sorry. 😃 A great female writer is Laurell K. Hamilton, her first dozen Anita Blake Vampire Hunter books rock; TL Swann is pretty crazy too as is Pepper Winters, all of them have dirtier minds than any man I ever met (and I used to be in navy).

I don’t even know who don maitz is😅🤣. I’ll definitely check out her works! I feel hobb will be a lot like Jordan, sadly.

I LOOOVE Robin Hobb!!!! When I got my dev edit done for Waking Ursa Minor, he likened it to her work which made me so happy. Its also been compared to GoT so... If you ever get your PO Box sorted and would like the first two books in my epic fantasy series, Riverda Rising, let me know. They can be read in tandem too if you are brave enough - gauntlet thrown. Either way, some great authors on your list and I hope you can introduce me to some new ones!

Some female fantasy authors/series: - The Falling Kingdom Series by Morgan Rhodes - this one is YA but it’s surprisingly mature - Three Dark Crowns Series by Kendare Blake - The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty Also, I think SJM sometimes gets categorized as romantasy by default. I think the ACOTAR series is romantasy, but I definitely think Throne of Glass is not. It focuses mostly on the MC. Of course there is romance but most fantasy books that aren’t considered romantasy still have it. But in TOG it’s definitely not the plot. I definitely wouldn’t call Crescent City romantasy either lol. Plus I think all of her books have great worlds and magic systems !

I will try to remember those authors. I honestly want to read older books form authors in the following year or two. I just enjoy the old aesthetic, but I also like to read anything. I plan on reading ACOTAR next year and reviewing each of them with my girlfriend 🤣
