Yea... 6'2 220 pound man is on the 2nd floor of his house almost passed out from all the smoke minutes away from death he looks up to see his savior is a 5'4 130 pound female firefighter who is wearing 45 pounds of gear trying to carry, drag, and pull him out of there for 4 mins she tryed but she could not move him more then 3 feet . Just his luck he sees another firefighter coming towards him , this firefighter was a 6'4 black guy that picked him up threw him over his shouldes went down the stairs and out the door in matter of 15 sec. True story, this happened to me 3 years ago.. Women haves no business doing this kind of work. She could have killed me all because she thinks its cute to have diversity and inclusion in one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

If someone is stuck on the top floor of a burning building and their only way down is being carried out a window and down a ladder several stories which do you think is more likely to get them down safely? A 5'2, 125 lb girl with all her "training" or a 6'3 man that's 250 lbs of pure muscle and his brute strength? Honestly one of the WORST stories regarding Female FireFighters I have EVER heard. Then insult to injury, you put Gruesome on the report who cut FireFighter wages - said he would take the cut in pay to, however - HE FORGOT - USFS & California Politics regarding Federal lands is part of the reason California Fire Season never ends. Keep in mind these are Wildland Forest Managers NOT Structure FireFighter. This news story is an insult, then add in the undereducated comments 🙄

Yes, because if I'm in a burning building and I'm unable to walk because of injuries or because I've passed out from smoke inhalation I really want to stake my life on some girl smaller than me being my only hope of getting carried out alive. I mean, seriously, that's what EVERYONE is thinking whether they're willing to say it or not. I'm all for female empowerment, I'm a woman, but there are certain jobs meant for 125 lb, 5'2 women and certain jobs for 6'3, 250 lbs of pure muscle men. Fire fighting is the latter and anyone with the reasoning skills of a small child knows it.

If you needed to be rescued from a burningbuilding, the USFS isn't going to do it. They are Wildland FireFighters not Structure FireFighter. When going internal on a structure to rescue, Standard Operating Procedures are 2 in - 2 out, a FF does not do structure entry alone. There are ways to drag a large person out of a single wide trailer when you slip off the toilet & are wedged between the tub & toilet that would blow your tiny mind.

Yes. They need yo be held yo the same standards as the men. If they truly aren't strong enough, they shouldn't be given a free pass just because they are women. There are some women who are 6ft or 5' 8" with stronger builds that can, but it is rare. They care more about making sure there's a certain amount of women in the force even if they aren't fit to do the job

Despite the fact that none of us can help what we are born w/. It’s way waaaay past time we stop treating each other badly based on our gender (or color or whatever). And start living our authentic lives. That said, no one should ever be banned from a job or profession based solely on gender. I agree w/ you tho. Everyone should be held to whatever criteria the job requires. And if you can’t then you can’t. There’s no shame in that.

Everyone has a role in society, not because you can it doesn't mean that you should. Women should not be competing with men. Men are built differently and they are way more stronger. A woman is suppose to be the help mate of a man. Her job is to birth kids and cook a good meal after a long day at work. Women can do what men do but there will not be a balance in the family dynamic. The man is the head of the family.

Everything was built to serve it's purpose to create balance and harmony. Women were created to birth kids, cook and take care of the home. The man job is to provide, protect and lead his family, of course there are times when each other play different roles because of circumstances, but both genders have their place in this universe. The sun was created to shine.
