I have a negative opinion on Islam but AP is wrong in this. This is not an Islamic issue but rather an issue with cultures that were traditionally nomadic pastoralists. The two do overlap quite a lot, but it’s important to keep in mind that even many non Muslim cultures that were traditionally nomadic pastoralists have a high rate of female genital mutilation. The traditionally nomadic pastoralist Kurds have a high rate of fgm but the neighboring Muslim majority cultures that are traditionally agriculturalists do not practice fgm. Even non Muslim nomadic pastoralists like the Maasai practice fgm. It just so happens that most cultures that are traditionally pastoralist are also Muslim. Even areas that are traditionally agriculturalist but were strongly influenced by nomadic pastoralists have picked up some nomadic pastoralist practices like fgm, honor killings. An example is Egypt, which became Arabized.

Sixteen cases a day in the UK (current) for a practice that has been illegal for 30 years. There have in fact, been two attempted prosecutions recently. One in 2015 and the doctor was acquitted in 15 mins. The 2017 case (perhaps the same one) where the judge instructed the jury to return a 'not guilty' verdict. Ex Muslim. Family originates from Sudan but I grew up in the EU. I’m fortunate enough to be the only female among my cousins who has not been mutilated… all my cousins, aunts, grandmothers on both sides… it’s far more prevalent than you can imagine. It’s horrific… and watching how much all the women in my family suffer from perpetual chronic issues related to this is devastating. It’s butchery. Vicki Takacs it was done on males to make masturbation harder and less pleasurable. It successfully did both for me and a few of my friends who I remember talking about how they masturbate in weird ways. It’s not that hard to keep a foreskin clean, you just pull it back and pour a bit of water (we have showers now too) as an adult and you don’t have to clean it as a kid because it’s stuck to the glans so you can’t retract it and it’s hard for anything to get in there.

The problem is that in circumcision they cut a part of the skin, whereas in the female genital mutilation they cut part of an organ, which has a lot of nervous terminations and blood vessels, and they sew over it or perform different procedures that damage the vagina and make it an open door to infections in the body. There are some cultural practices that follow this in humane a barbaric practice , and the Ulema have condemned this practice . The place where FGM is most widely practiced is Ethiopia and that’s a Christian Country .

If anyone is going to have their birth body altered it should be their own decision unless for, purely, medical reasons. All non-medical alterations must be made with the adult consent of the individual. This should include removal of tissue, piercings and tattoos. All male and female circumcision should be illegal. There are obvious exceptions like, for example, children born with cleft palates.The only reason that I think circumcision should be done is if the foreskin can't be pulled back. I think it is wrong for a baby girl to have ear-piercings too. Almost 10,000 subscribers! I hope the surgery goes well. Much love and respect.

I am glad to say that when I have had disputes with Muslims at work (as I am openly anti Islam) thanks to you I manage to shut them down. If I start quoting verses they ask "Do you read Arabic?" the answer is no. So I am sure you know their responses already. However I bring up your channel and the channels of any other Apostate and the 'Imam' from Australia (cannot remember his name off hand). I recommend they view your channel and come back to me. I inform them that I do not believe they read their own book but only go by what an Imam tells them and to cross reference your work. I also mention taqiyya and ask how I can believe what they offer as proof without an English version of the Quran in their hands so that I can see what they are saying is true. Needless to say I never hear back from them on that matter and am proud to say many have stopped praying at work. Some of the women have stopped wearing their hijabs or other head coverings. Men are starting to wear tank tops and laughing with me as the 'devout' Muslims get visibly angry. The number of baths being taken in the restrooms have drastically been reduced leading to a cleaner area. Men picking up brooms to do what they formerly called 'womens' work. When the debates start I inform them I am not a Christian (which seems to confuse them) then I inform them I am a Celtic Pagan (which seems to further confuse them or horrify them). I inform them I have no intent to convert them just simply I do not wish for them to harm themselves or others in the way they are, in what I HOPE is a unintentional way. I tell them I do not care what religion they follow but they should leave Islam and encourage others to as well. It surprises me how many are interested in my 'Barbaric' beliefs once they at least begin to turn from Islam (about half of the ones that work with me so around 20 or so in the last 3 months) and I answer their questions to the best of my abilities. How to say this without sounding vain? There is no way so. Everyone that works with me will not deny my courage, I am the physically strongest though not even close to the biggest and often pick on the males for being weak like children or women, and I use my words to cut straight to the core of any problem or dispute without care for hurt feelings. I say things like "If this (usually a dirty thing) kills me then I deserve to die for being weak". I speak down to females for attempting to manipulate me and tell them that is not what a woman should be and praise females that do their best and go out of my way to help and encourage them (same for males). So I am wondering. Is it my words and steering them towards people like yourself? The way I behave and back up my words? Or a combination of both that is leading to the change in behavior and possibly beliefs of these Muslims and some now openly former Muslims I interact with? Or do you think they are full of shit and not really changing? Although on this last I doubt because I have witnessed some very heated discussions from a distance although when I approach they stop but you can see the anger between the groups.

If you haven't already, you should make videos about: 1. Honor killings and forced marriages. Both practices are claimed to be condemned by Islam, yet they continue to be rampant among Muslims. Matter of fact, at least 90% of honor killings worldwide are Islamic. 2. The niqab and hijab, but with a little more emphasis on the hijab. It's claimed that wearing the hijab (and niqab) is a personal choice, yet numerous Muslim girls and women are retaliated against by their families and communities if they don't wear it (Aqsa Parvez, for example). 3. Halal slaughter, and animal cruelty in general. I know animal cruelty happens in all nations, religions, ethnic groups, etc. However it seems to be most rampant and even encouraged in Islamic locations.

I recently researched and wrote an article on this issue... yesterday actually, and can confirm that you are absolutely right! The only disputes in Islam about this issue is: A- do you cut the whole clitoris out, or a part of it B- is it obligatory, recommended or optional to cut out the clitoris or a part of it C- is the Hadith from Sunan Abu dawud authentic? (The answer doesn't matter as there are many other narrations supporting FGM, but regardless: this is a debated issue) All the schools of Jurisprudence agree that it is in Islam. No-one says it is disliked or forbidden.

And as I said, whether or not the hadith is rejected means absolutely nothing because FGM was already in Islam without it. I was just noting what issues are disagreed upon in the schools. And I got all my information from Pro-Muslim websites, Sharia manuals and scholars.

A religion influences a culture as much as a culture influences its religion. Often culture and religion are pretty much the same thing. Even IF Islam would be against FGM, considering FGM is still prevalent in many parts of the Islamic world then Islam must be extremely incompetent in stopping these practices or extremely competent in keeping these practices alive. Although I'm pretty sure there that Islam brought FGM to Indonesia, as it wasn't practiced before Indonesia became Islam. So maybe FGM just is a part of Islam (not surprising as Islam is rather a backwards and misogynist ideology). PS. I oppose all forms of ritual genital mutilation on children too young to give consent

What makes me furious is that I was trying to help a young woman that was here on a visa to get a asylum in the United States because she knew when she went back, she would be forced to undergo female, genital mutilation. She could not get asylum. So imagine how infuriating it is to know that people are being allowed to walk across the border and receive benefits yet a woman seeking asylum for a very legitimate reason is turned away. Female genital mutilation is also a crime that happens in Australia, I know a female friend of mine who is not a Muslim and is a white female and her stepfather a white male who was in the Australian military mutilated her genitals when she was just three years old.he also pushed a sewing needle through her left eye and mutilated her nipples on her breasts, and she survived it all and the WORST part of it was the hospital released her back into the care of her stepfather and mother who cruelly abused her and her brother throughout the years they were growing up. I can't imagine how much horrific pain and trauma the poor girl's and women are being forced to go through.

I am too lazy to look up the refrences in the Hadith but I remember Muhammed telling women not to modify their body by filing their teeth, adding hair extensions, getting tattoos and cutting their facial hair. I assume he was talking about eyebrows. It is inconsistent to give the reason for this as preserving what was given by Allah while at the same time tolerating FGM.
