Kintaro, even at 6 years of age, can smell Genki's estrus. He can be seen in other videos humping her. He may not be able to mate at this age, but because of Genki's giving him "health checks" all these years Kintaro is getting a clue about the birds and the bees. Gentaro is sexually excited by the scent of his mother, but is frustrated by his knowing it is taboo to mate with his mother. He is a silverback and it is time for him to have a mate, so he is confused and frustrated about the situation.

It's only going to become more tense between Gentaro and Momotaro. Shabani is still somewhat tolerating Kiyo but Shabani isnt like Momotaro. Gentaro's situation reminds me of Lope who was having major problems with his father Oumbi, the BEAST. There was no way the two of them were going to cohabitate as long as Gentaro and Kiyomassa have with their fathers. The tension between Oumbi and Lope was critical and he was moved while younger than both Kiyo and Gentaro.

@@A.L.Gardner I dont recall Ozala being that aggressive with Lope but if she was he deserved it. He was a terror and looked like he was even ready to beat up his brother a time or two! The tension with his father was obvious to casual viewers. Im a member of SloggerVlogger and he has been filming that troop for years. He's even traveled to France to film Lope since his move. Funny thing is Lope has changed. He's no longer the aggressive angry teenager. He has a happy--go-lucky roommate in Aybo who plays with Lope all the time and Lope likes it. Shocking I know lol. Aybo isnt afraid of Lope and kind of looks up to him. I would never have thought he'd be friends with many gorillas but he likes Aybo and they are a great match. At first I was sad and worried about Lope moving but he's in a much better place. I just wish we could get some of these adolescent sub-adult males matched up with females but there doesnt seem to be many available.

Would seem Genki going in to estrus is at the upper end of female gorillas age range. Not sure I want them to have another baby. She might be a little old for the physical toll it would take on her. Kintaro and Gentaro better be careful though. Male gorillas can be quite tense when they detect a female in heat and Momotaro has a pretty aggressive disposition. I'll be hoping the scene stays calm.

Genki is considered a geriatric female. While she can probably conceive, she has dental issues and issues with enough breast milk in the past. Their habitat area is not large enough for another individual...there will also be more conflict between Gentaro and Momotaro and with a new birth, would seem dangerous to me to have another.

Até Gentaro estava achando algo estranho e ficou curioso. Não acredito que Genki engravide, a prioridade é a saúde da Genki. Meu lindo Kintaro é o protetor da mãe. I, too, really love Genki, and I wouldn't like her to get pregnant if it was detrimental to her health. Clearly, Momotaro would have liked to mate, but that's not unusual. Maybe Genki's estrus is imminent. Only time will tell. I don't think Kintaro was being a pest. He loves and needs his mum, ❤ for now, at least, and she still loves him. 💙 At the end of the day, nature will take its course and what will be, will be. I just hope that sweet Genki is healthy and happy, and there is peace in the Momotaro family. 🙏💙❤️💙💙
