What’s up with Kintaro ,a little tummy problem ?

Doesnt japan gave a male gorrilla living all by himself ? Maybe when he passes on that enclosure can ve turned into a bachlor pad!

I would NOT want Genki to get pregnant. Im convinced her health would suffer. It's OK that Gentaro leaves, though, because we want what is best for him. 😊

No more babies for Ms Genki. All the young gorillas in Japan need to be moved they are all related!!

I'd rather that Gentaro remain with his family, so Kintaro would not be left without his companionship. It may be that Genki is too old to cycle successfully through another birth and provide the long-term care the new baby would need.

I think it would be better for Genki to not get pregnant, than for Kintaro to be left without Gentaro's company.

I would like Genki to become pregnant; Momo's mother had her last baby at 39. When a gorilla has their baby; that baby clings to their mom for at least 2 years. That baby doesn't require much space at that time they cling to their mom. I don't see why Gentaro would have to leave for at least a year or so; that still gives some time to find a great home for Gentaro. I know the enclosure is too small but I still see that there is time to find a home for Gentaro and a new baby to be born.

It will also be difficult for Genki to try to raise a newborn with Kintaro's exuberance. Gentaro needs to have a mate from somewhere at some point, soon. Thanks Ryan!✌

If Genki became pregnant, it would still be a while for her gestation, no? Plus one infant gorilla can't take up that much room. I'm thinking that we do want to see Gentaro settled with a family of his own, so I'm not really sure how this would be a problem. I would hate to see Gentaro leave, but I also want to see him with his own family.

Once she gets pregnat, she won't be albe to take any dental treatments at least for two years. In a way, there is a risk that Genki's lifespan might be shortened. Additionally pregnacy and delivery after 40 years old, bones weaken, increasing the likelihood of fractures. I thought the current gorilla house would be too small for five gorillas to live together. I don’t think Ginki should have another baby because of her health, but I do think Gen needs to have a family of his own. Momo and Gen needs to be separated before one of them gets hurt fighting for dominance

So I guess him and Annie are not going to happen?I dont see why Japan doesn't just build many new enclosures and let ouside gorrilla specialists come and educate them more on their all-around care. Japan is not a third word country but a high-tech modern wealthy one, they can afford to build.

Right after the 3:25 mark Kintaro looked like he was doing the thing we used to do when we were kids, pat our head while rubbing our stomach, at the same time. He did a pretty good job!

Why can't Gentaro and Anna get together? Also how long can Gentaro be with his family.
