She has been used to introduce a colective of dozens of scientists . Still. I loved her performance. She did them justice .

*I prefer my opinion to yours* what a line, the writing in this show is next level, simple, yet powerful and poignant. Love it.

I love the close up on her shoes after he reveals that the shoe-factory employee is the guy running things.

What's clear in this amazing series is the complete disregard for human life. All that mattered was the ideology. Astounding.

God these conversations must have been some of the most frustrating chats that nuclear physicists in the Soviet Union had ever experienced. Because I guarantee you that conversations JUST like this 100% happened. And likely more than once. Only thing is that Khomyuk was a fictional character. She was created to represent the hundreds of real non fictional nuclear physicists who partook in the investigation that eventually lead to the discovery of the fatal flaw with the AZ-5 button.

It is a sad irony that the Soviets put emphasis on the workers, but yet didn't give a shit (excuse my language) about endangering the workers of Chernobyl as seen in this clip as an example

Khomyuk should tell the secretary that her boss is delusional and she must take him to the infirmary.

People actually got sick from overdosing iodine, especially children. It was given out over-the-counter, and also far too late to actually help anyone.

The only person sense of the goverment who understood with one only advice the magnitude of the danger was that secretary.

and this is how real life operates, folks...if you kiss enough ass, you move up in the world, regardless if you're qualified. The REAL great workers, the qualified ones, the ones who are often overlooked, just do the right thing and seek no recognition. I see it everyday in the business world...these good people answering to people who have absolutely no fuckin idea what they're doing or what they're talking about...but their nose is so brown, they need to continue to play the part since they are lacking and they know it.

I really hope he got cancer...the revolution was about empowering the working class not nepotism and ignoring science/anti intellectualism like we see today in the US...a.pre requestor to the fall of every great empire...rome, Britain, Soviet

40 years ago: “I’m a physicist. Before you were deputy secretary you worked in a shoe factory.” “Yes, and now I’m in charge. I prefer my opinion over yours.” 2020: “I’m a doctor, and one of the world’s leading experts on infectious diseases. Before you were a president, you are a two times failed businessman and a reality TV show star.” “Yes, and now I’m in charge. I prefer my opinion over yours.”

This series is a perfect analogy for how the current administration is handling the coronavirus.
