@@UPTurn12 but still, it gives off a bad impression to the choreographer, even if evaluation was in a week or so, the girls have to show off their full potential, so mentors don't have time to watch the girls not be serious, its just a waste of time, like I get that the girls were all tired, but they should of at least made a plan up, cause in that clip, they only got like 1 minute of the choreography done, while all the other groups are almost done with the choreography

well, the problem isn't that they overslept, the choreographer gave them a chance to see if they were productive during the practice time. they weren't. they practiced like half of the song without even assigning positions. the replay even showed that they were lounging around while only handful of the girls kept practicing.

Trying Duck Yep and I HATE that. I ran a dance club and completely understand the feeling when you find that your "students" didn't practice as instructed (like, the majority of the girls in video sat the whole time and that's not good). In my case, I hated when my friends in the club would blatantly lie about practicing at home when their body showed otherwise. The people criticizing the choreographer probably don't know what real scolding is like. She's being nice compared to the drill sergeants you see other idols learn from. She's not there to turn them to half-baked artists. If they can't handle what she says now, how are they supposed to survive against people who invested their whole lives for this industry? This is how you weed people out. Otherwise you have kids going into a profession and business that they're not ready for and would only get hurt in the long-run.

people do need to rest but the way their choreographer is reacting is realistic. the industry is truly unfair when it comes to how much effort idols and trainees must put in. that's how they will be treated by their companies as they grow in popularity. it was bad timing, and the girls do deserve a break, but they also have to be willing to put in all their effort at all times rather than looking for opportunities to leave even if it is an unfair amount of work :/
@user-rt3kf7ru9g7 жыл бұрын
It really was bad timing, but I'm pretty sure they knew there was going to be an evaluation that day, just not at what time. Which, all in all, is like a big test to see what their teamwork is like and how smart they can be trying to come up with things and in collaboration with others. Most of them aren't even trainees but somewhat experienced idols, and so it's hard to let them get away with certain things, especially this.

I just think that instead of sleeping in their room, they should’ve just take a nap at the practice room. If you go through the normal process, girl and boy groups would need to be perfect for they debut on TV. If they would be eliminated here, they still have a slight chance to be in lime light because there are eagle eyes agency there waiting for potentials. They must grab this opportunity to improve theirselves over and over even it meant no sleeping (sounds harsh but reality check ayo, even students don't sleep for thesis school) because they get to be seen on TV even without being an official debuted talent. ++ so i just realized that they are idols who are just given second chance to show their talents off becos of failed chance as a group idol before. Ricky Oyobolo i know they are humans, i'm not dumb, but the fact that they didn't even assign positions and didn't finish the whole song, while the other teams were still up practicing, that is being lazy, there is no excuse, this team had not even half of the girls practicing while the others were just sitting around, i agree with people saying that they need to rest, but they will get their well deserved rest when they get their work done, if they are not willing to work their asses off to achive their dreams then they are not ready for the real deal which is 100x harder than this. I'm sorry, but whether people like it or not, that's how the kpop industry works, that's how its always been since i started listening to old groups, BIG BANG, 2NE1, Rain, 2PM, BTS, EXO etc. They didn't make it to the top by providing half ass performances and fooling around while they are supposed to be practicing, these girls and all the other people are given a second chance to make it big on the industry, something that they been wanting but for some reason they were not able to achive and then, they take this second chance so sightly? then that tells me how little they want it, so if people think that Hwayoung was overreacting on this, they don't know what real hard work and discipline is, even on their full performance the only one that stood up was NC.A she was the only one practicing non stop. Do i think they need some rest? Absolutely, but they need to get their work done first, if they can't take that, then they need to go home like Hwayoung said ,because i guaratee you, that there are other people out there that are willing to go the extra mile to get what they want.

For those who are saying “the show could’ve at least told them about the choreographer”, but the thing is, if the girls were told that then they would’ve of course worked their butts off and be all prepared already. The show probably didn’t tell them since the judges want to see how hard the girls would work to learn the choreography in just a short period of time.

And they never stated that the gropu had a set appointment with the choreogrpaher if they did, I'm sure they would have been there. If there was no official apointment, i can understand why they would be sleeping at 9 or 10
@thomasqiliang73476 жыл бұрын
I think the video shows that they've overslept as well. The leader told them to have break toll 9pm, but it was past 9 and they were still resting. Additionally, usually people had breaks at practice room alone, untill they were ready to sleep in, they would proceed to bedroom. Perhaps these two reasons are strong enough to explain why they were wrong.
@k3vo5925 жыл бұрын
The other groups didn't have any breaks. Even when this team was practicing they were sitting around a lot.

To those who are blaming the choreographer on being "harsh", what she said is acceptable. The girls made the wrong decision to not continue their practice while other groups are. If the choreographer is too lenient on them, they'd become spoiled and it'll be unfair for others. Being a choreographer is not much different than being a teacher when it comes to disciplining their students.

They choreographer had every right to be mad. Other trainees are working hard while this team just sleeps. The team barely had the choreography done. THIS IS THE KPOP INDUSTRY. They should have changed leader if the leader gave them a chance to rest. They wasted valuable rehearsal time. They can 100% sleep after but how can they sleep when the team next door is beating them? - Leader position needed to be changed.
@keiraselia74475 жыл бұрын
To give comparison, GFriend practice 12 hours per day during trainee (then it's become 10 hours per day); Nowadays they practice 6-8 hours per day whenever they make a comeback, even during hiatus they didn't laid back. This is for both singing and dancing. GFriend don't magically become ridiculously good, it require huge effort and strong mentality.

I'm a dance teacher and this pissed me off. It's disrespectful to let a mentor wait, they showed that they weren't passionate, to me it just looked like they didn't take it seriously and being again disrespectful, I'm beyond shocked. I know that kpop and dance career are different but if this happened at my academy, not only will you be expelled but you'll lose other dance opportunities and ruin your reputation. This might sound harsh but trying to pursue dance as a career is very competitive, there are a lot of other talented dancers who want to be in your place so there is no slacking, I'm sure the same goes to kpop.

It's weird for me to see Kim Hwayeong so dressed up - I'm used to seeing her in her sweats and loose shirts and tights in Unnies (and still looking perfect). Although this was a year ago... it still brings me chills the way she scolded them. But she is not wrong in what she said or the way she said it. It’s rude and unprofessional to not perform a task given specially in the position they were in. Specially when you know your career depends on that specific task or is part of it. As a dancer you have to practice and meet each of your own deadlines and the deadlines given to you. You have to go beyond them as well if you are able to. Slacking off is just not acceptable in any way. Dancing is hard and requires a lot of work to perfect a choreography and do it properly and good. People need to stop letting other slack off. Idols and other professionals go through this to get to where they are. If not, they would fickle away from their work.
@seanacosta40864 жыл бұрын
Its her job to give criticisms otherwise they would not know their mistakes and what their weaknesses were. Its her right to do so, being harsh is actually her way of saying "you need to do your best, because this is a competition." All of the great kpop idols have a much harder environment when they are trainees, compare to them...so I like this Choreographer, because she wants her trainees to be at their best level...

I get they are human, feeling overworked and need a little break but if they had that much time to take break(for however long it was), then they definitely had that much time to finish coming up with the Choreography for the dance they’re practicing. (I don’t watch this show, this showed up on my recommendation) I feel bad the for the short haired girl who was Consistently and continuously practicing. She pretty much had to endure the criticism with her dance members (Well since she is with the group she be seen as unprofessional, lazy and incompetent by association with her members )

As a dancer and ex rookie for SM Entertainment, I understand her. She was actually being hard on them by testing their will and motivation. My mentor Jason Bueno And Anthony Lee from kinjaz told me “dancing is art , it takes lots of dedication and will. 90 percent is imagination and fun. 10 percent is choreography. Put those 2 together you’ll be the ultimate dancer” she clearly saw no motivation on the black team so she was like why waste my time if they’re not even motivated. She was being honest and professional. What the black team lacked is discipline and motivation.
