I plan to start driving in December, eventually I want to get into real estate, and housing for abused women, prisoners coming home trying to get on their feet, ect. If the money's there down the line. My biggest worries is backing up, I will take my time no matter what, and use safety. Thanks for the helpful tips

Thank you no starter company is going to be good but I recommend going with swift 3 months to a year if you’re going to be company sponsored. Then you have an opportunity for better companies.

You're better off working at Amazon then going to D.M. Bowman. Straight out of school, go OTR with a mega carrier for three months then look for some regional.

@@MsDani_HazmatChick Unfortunately, a regional job is going to be difficult if you're just coming out of school. I mentor drivers at a local CDL school. I tell them to go OTR for three to six months then companys like Schnider and JB Hunt will hire them for local or regional. Otherwise, it's a up-hill battle. I've seen people bullshit, sit on their licence for three months, when they finally get hired on, the company says that they have been out of school to long and requires them to take a refresher course... at the driver's expense. Point being, OTR might not be your thing but it is the easiest and fastest way to get your foot in the door.

I've started a career in trucking recently and I love it and always wanted to be a trucker. My body is still getting used to it especially when it comes to the bathroom. After I eat and get back on the road I start getting really bad gas and bathroom cramps and it usually hits when I'm not near a rest area. I'm uncomfortable until I can find a rest area and blow up the bathroom. Is there something I can use to calm it down until I get to the rest stop?

You can take some gas pills or digestion pills take it 5 mins before your meals
