I was fortunate enough to see Femi Kuti and his amazing band live and I couldn't sit still in my seat dancing until some beautiful girl from Australia grabbed my hand and we danced under the stars together in the aisle at the Greek theater for the rest of the concert - a truly special performance and night I'll never forget.

I had the absolute pleasure to see this band at Electric Forest 2022, and it was one of the GREATEST performances I have EVER seen, right up there with Paul McCartney, Shpongle's live band finale at Red Rocks, and The String Cheese Incident.

I LOVE THE DANCERS TOO....I want to share something I witnessed in Gainesville, Florida....my friend Femi invited me to this ...it was in a very small auditorium....near UF.... .....a few years back....when a dance troope of female African dancers, led by 1 guy..(Can't remember their name)....along with their drummers....6....7..drummers on stage.......all playing such beautiful drumming....together....and after a while, I realized that I was hearing the chanting chorus of voices singing .....like.... A LOT.... of voices all singing to the drumming......and I looked at the drummers...all there, playing their hearts out....with their mouths all SHUT TIGHT...In fact, ....NONE OF THEM WAS SINGING AT ALL....Astounded, I blinked my eyes, and looked again at each one of them as they were playing.......I walked around the stage, got right up there so I could see them clearly, .. and still.... the voices continued....but NO ONE WAS SINGING........I thought I was hallucinating....I DID smoke some Herb before the show, but hey, come on, Herb doesn't cause HALLUCINATIONS ...no matter HOW "good" it is ....ok?? You know what I mean? ...So ...I KNEW something was really up with that.....so, I just HAD to ask them after the show......why I heard all these voices all singing .....and they told me, "YES ...You heard the voices of our ancestors singing through our drums".....I will never forget that experience.....

THC definitely causes halucinations tho. I've had RSO oil hit me as hard as some mushrooms.
@timmccarthy30342 жыл бұрын
@@mrs.f8611 PLEASE don't say that nonsense, it is NOT considered to be in the same "class" at all........LSD...DMT... Aya, Peyote Mushroms, even Morning Glory seeds etc.... all are "hallucinogens", but "Herb", no matter HOW good it is, will not produce such things in the brain....It is just not possible, really..That's why it is legal in so many places now....because the lawmakers know, it is a harmless, mildly sedative plant, that you can fully function on, drive a car, etc, and it is not dangerous in any way....It is "medicinal"....Doctors prescribe it ...They typically do not prescibe LSD.... Mushrooms etc...all of those type of substances are totally illegal, ( except Peyote, of course, for enrolled Native American tribal members).... I have smoked a lot of really great herb and hash and oil... in my life, and I am over 60 yrs old.....so, I've had the very best quality on the planet..... it,THC, has a certain "quality", to be sure, but never "hallucinogenic", in the true sense, like the others...... not even close, really......So, if you did expereince that , with "oil", then whatever was in that oil, was laced with a chemical of some kind, like perhaps PCP? etc.....it was not just "THC"..no way........Seems like you are just saying that because you think I am not being honest, like to just discredit what I said to be truth......for some reason, you do not want to accept what I heard, as the "real thing"...I was not even very stoned at ALL, when I was seeing the group of drummers play....and heard the voices coming from the drums...and I certanly was not frying on any kind of hallucinogen........I have a lot of experience with the others too, REAL hallucinogens....like since the mid 70's......(perhaps you have not)..and believe me, there is a HUGE difference in the type of action they have on the brain chemistry, than Herb, in any form...It's like comparing going to the Moon, or Mars, in a rocket..or a UFO.........with going to the park, just up the road...on a bicycle.....HUGE DIFFERENCE.....
