Most modern cars can't be fixed unless you have a laptop with a diagnostic program to find the fault plus specialized tools for the job. Oh, by the way these diagnostics and tools are only available to the trade. I believe there has been meetings amongst automobile manufacturers to make it so difficult to repair that you are forced to go to a main dealer or an "approved" workshop.

I have been a professional mechanic for over 30 years and non professional before that. I can't tell you the amount of women who have called me to come fix their broken car. When i say no or if i do say yes and start talking about how much i will charge, they instantly get upset. They honestly think i should do it for free. Then, if they do accept the charge, they want to pay later. I did that one time and the woman never paid me, saying i was over charging her. So, i went over there and took the part back off.

I'm 61-years old and have had AAA service for my car since I was 19-years old, so I'm guessing on average women don't have towing service. Most men do because you can't fix these modern cars, and these women won't tell you the truth about the abuse they have done to the vehicle. I used to check my Ex-wife car all the time and do the maintenance, I just ask her to let me know if the car was doing anything strange or making noise and she couldn't even do that.
