First one of these new tracks that sounds and looks even close to the good, old stuff they used to put out in 2014-16 (White Noise, Whiplash, Wannabe, Fxxk Boyz Get Money etc.). I sincerely hope they'll reach those heights again.

They have announced their "evolution". In this new era, in their songs from... last september until now, they show the evolution of the mannequins becoming more human, you can actually see how they dance more "humanly" and less robotic, and their voices have a little more of depth. If 2016 was their Golden Era, I feel that this new sound is not rejecting that at all, but they have definitively lost audience because FEMM doesn't sound like PoW! or White Noise anymore.

@@fabianavillarroel4223 yeah, I've been there for the re-launch. Personally I don't see it as an "evolution", more like a "de-evolution". In my opinion they lost what made them unique and have gotten increasingly generic in their "pop music with auto-tuned vocals" sound since the FEMM 2.0 launch. That "Level up" song on 5th Nov. 2020 was shockingly bad compared to their old songs and the others haven't been much better imho. To quote what I said in another post: "This feels like they started at the point most artists desperately try to reach: Being unique and distinct. And now they're working their way backwards into being more generic, which is weird. Change isn't always a good thing."

My "FEMM was better before they went the dumbed down electro-pop-rap mainstream route" take is above and beyond criticism, it's a universal truth. Their new stuff fuckin suuuucks compared to their 2014-2016 output. You can't argue with that, it's the truth. Undeniably.

It's no secret this song is giving major classic femm vibes !! And ofc I'm in love! But I, nor do I think the girls appreciate comments kind of putting their more recent stuff down just because it has a different sound. If you're here to support then support!! But please don't sit around bashing their other work and saying it's not good 😅 Kind of seems like the opposite of support! I understand if you like this sound better ! But there's supportive ways to give your opinion🥰 I love femm and almost everything they do because I love their art and ideas! I feel this is an issue with so many bands' fans right now (i personally have seen it in a lot of metalcore/easycore/post hardcore fan bases recently). If the fans want to listen to their old stuff thats fine, but to demand and continuously put down an artists new music is annoying and rude at best. I like almost everything that femm has put out, but I'm not some incredibly loyalist type of fan that falls in love with only 1 release and expects that same sound with every subsequent release then complain when it isnt. Thats stifling for so many musicians for fans to expect that. I appreciate bands changing up sounds, and if i dont like it, i just skip it (like i didnt care for peach so i skip it but i loved sugar rush. And i wasnt the biggest fan of another band's most recent album but i just skip the songs i dont vibe with on that album and enjoy the rest of it)

I meant to comment when the video dropped but I was so busy but I just wanted to say that I really love this song, it's probably my favorite of the new songs, I think the video is super cool and fits in great with the rest of FEMM's work, I think focusing on the high concept videos with the strong art direction is the best move and I hope Avex promotes this video with the ads the same way it's done with Sugar Rush because it would be a shame if people missed out on this one.

We have to remember as the time goes by and style changes, us fans have to adjust with it.
