An absolutely fantastic movie. Such a rollercoaster of conflicting feelings throughout. It was tense and both leads did one hell of a job, amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone who may be on the fence or unsure about it.

I saw this film at Melbourne Queer Film Festival and it's a great film. Great acting and storyline.

Soooo good. A lot of people may not like the "the bully is actually also gay" trope, but this one is different. I'm a straight woman, but I feel like I've been Jules. Having a lack of self respect so you keep going back to a guy who isn't good for you, hoping he'll change, seeing something that may or may not actually be there. I wasn't physically attacked like that, but I was put in a sexual situation I wasn't comfortable with, and voiced that to him, but kept going back to please him, or to prove something to myself, or to him. Thinking you're in control when you're not. All things this movie portrays beautifully. Humans aren't always as simple as "they hurt me so I'm comfortable hurting them". This film shows that.

Great film, great acting let down, however, by the implausibility of Jules, being in the dressing room post, his comeback show on his birthday all alone with none of his friends there that just doesn’t fly
