Dark Matter is a sci-fi thriller series based on the blockbuster book by acclaimed, bestselling author Blake Crouch. The nine-episode series features an ensemble cast that includes Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi and Oakes Fegley.

Read the book, people, is truly mind blowing. One of the best sci fi thriller novels in last decade. The own book writer (Blake Crouch) it´s the showrunner of the adaptation ,so will probably be great and faithful. A book about the multiverse before this theme became the new model of movies and shows and even so this novel have new concepts of multiverse and parallel worlds.

i bought the book on 11th april unknowingly that its releasing a series ...and after covering 100 pages of the book ...when i searched for a playlist to cover the rest of the book i found out the trailer of it and trust me ...when i saw the trailer and everything that i imagined while reading the book is same as the scene shown in the trailer..i was just amazed ...like shocked and yeah from the beginning i knew that it might be jason who abducted him in another world..and its true ..although i would be happy to get to know this while reading the book...that would have left me more amazed..anyhow the book is too good

Agree completely! I read the book knowing nothing about it before I started (a friend said I should read it and that was it). One of the best reading experiences of my life, thinking the book would be one thing and then it shifting 3 or 4 times throughout. I don't know anything about this show or the book so I don't know what spoiler you're talking about I read one comment saying they ruined the biggest spoiler by revealing who's the big villain who kidnapped him etc... and I'm like "uh", it wasn't a big spoiler at all, literally one of the most used trope in the parallel universe genre like if you actually read the book and learned about him waking up in a new world where the people he seem to know don't know him and the one who know him he has no idea who they are, you don't have to be a genius to realize that he's in a parallel universe and if he's here, the him of this world is definitely in his world. I think them revealing it in the trailer mean they will likely disclosed it from episode 1 which I think is good because I would have been annoyed that they keep us waiting for such an obvious reveal. Other than that, as someone who knows nothing about the book, I have no idea what spoilers have I just watched so I don't think they revealed anything that important. But obviously because you read the book, you're gonna pick up on every little detail you see because you're already know the whole story of the show. However, someone who watched this blind ain't picked up on all these things you considered as spoilers. It happens all the times with show/movies based on book or other known material. People who already know the premise talk about spoilers due to details that anybody who doesn't know the story can't see or understand.

Just the other week i was talking to my girlfriend telling her Hollywood keeps regurgitating the same old ideas. Prequels, Sequels nobody asked for, remakes, more comic book movies.....nothing ORIGINAL! I read this book a few years ago and i literally used it as an example of a book that should be turned into a series. It's original and a great story. I've read the book. This trailer didn't spoil anything that you don't know in the first couple chapters. Finding out that the villain is another version of himself isn't really a twist at all, it's the narrative hook. There really is no twist in this story. It's pretty straight-forward and fun to experience. The book does a great job of making you appreciate what you have in life. I read it about 5 years ago and to this day it stops me in my tracks any time I start to think I should have done something different with my life. Hopefully the show captures that. But rest assured, the point of this story is not some plot twist (which is an extremely tired trope that I wish would die off.) I HIGHLY recommend the book. It's a real life-changer (for the better.)

This was one of those rare books that had me reading non-stop and wide eyed. It's an absolutely fantastic sci-fi thriller and I hope that this does it justice. Can't wait to see Recursion on the big screens as well if they ever get around to another Blake Crouch master piece.

Read the book. I'm so glad this is getting converted into a series because the story is mind-blowing. They shouldn't have revealed so much in trailer though but definitely whoever watches this without reading the book will be on a rollercoaster ride!

I have read the book 2 years ago within one day! To all the producers and cast and production team of Dark Matter, You guys literally bring the life of the book. To sir Blake, Dark Matter would be a greatest plot twist of this generation sci-fi world ❤

Read the book years ago, and its one of my personal favorites. My only concern is they will gloss over or speed through the many worlds he visits and the series will likely focus on the two main worlds.

I can’t wait to see the whole last act. I think it’s going to be very challenging to not just have it look completely ridiculous. Absolutely love the book bit worried about the show. The guy playing Jason is gonna need some grade A acting for the whole last act

I never read the book, but I'm reminded of an indie movie about something similar. It was an eclipse I think? When it happened the lines between worlds got thinner and a woman went around different homes/worlds looking for her perfect reality. The MC is the villain, killing the perfect version of her but in the end she was caught or something
