Jesus tears down religious, man-made fences designed to keep us from God. The best spiritual offense is a good scriptural defense. The burden of religion can only be lifted with the mercy of God. Works based salvation is an unattainable standard, and a deep, theological lie. In today’s episode, Alex will preach about how Jesus tears down religious fences, while also becoming our defense and righteousness. Matthew 12:1-8

Love this, God has torn down my fence of familial visibility. I was never understood ( middle child problems 😂😂) so from this, I became an overachiever, extreme giver, and a success addict, ( which I later realized was what made me stand out and be seen by my family). It bit me in the butt once I became older because before anyone even tries to fix their own problems I became the family muse, the bank, the go to person. God gave me the wisdom first to destroy the nails of pride within myself that held up this dysfunctional fence, then he gave me the gift of saying No to dismantle it..the more I stand in his strength the more this fence is torn down.

Fences are such an integral part to our increasingly surburbanized and individualized society. Our personal space and our personal time are highly valued. I definitely need to address the fence of selfishness in my life and realize that nothing I have is my own. I love the idea that the greatest offense is a de-fence. Instead of protecting my personal things and justifying the reason for doing so, I need to be like Jesus and cross those fences that have been built. That's a lot to meditate on and implement. Appreciate y'all so much.

Today, my hurt heart was very willing to build up a wall/fence between me and some new God-given friends, but then THIS.

I’m so glad I woke up to this, I know it was dear to God to give this to me this morning. Fence breaking is one of my biggest goals right now and to hear someone else speaking about it was so refreshing. I’m 15 and in a great small little country church. It’s loving, and anyone who walks in the doors who is perusing truth is dearly touched. The people are great, but people fall short and have blind spots. What I’ve been chasing after and what God has put on my heart strongly is to break fences down. We have maybe 5 youth, and the rest of our typical attendance ( usually around 80 recently, but growing quickly ) are all older then 55. So, I’ve been trying to break down the fences these people put up. The connotations they have for the youth, the connotations for people they have who look different. While they are all amazing, sometimes people need to be tapped on the shoulder to what they didn’t know they did even subconsciously. After about a month of convincing, I got everyone to agree too turning their hair pink for a day. That Sunday was filled with laughter, joy, and peace for the members. While I think maybe 2 people thought I was demon possessed, the rest all took it kindly and supported me. It opened their hearts up more, and now they’re even more open minded by the experience. Recently I watched Jesus revolution, and in it the hippies when first coming into church are barefoot. All of the traditional “Christian’s” were aggravated by it. So seeing that, now my next goal is having everybody come to church barefoot lol. I’ve also got my pastor to agree to go out evangelizing with me by jumping out at people on public sidewalk in a realistic looking bush costume which I’m super excited for. Hopefully, this open mindedness will start drawing more youth in. We’re a pretty young church of 2 years, and we’re constantly experiencing miracles by God.

What a gem.. How am I reading this late 😌 May the Father grant us, in Jesus' Name, more blessed people like you, one with the Spirit in unifying the old and the youth. May there be more love, practical wisdom, peace and fruitfulness in and through you, Silkie!

What Loke said in “after the amen” totally resonated with me… so much. I struggle with having to be “nice and agreeable “ in order to be worthy of anything, fearing what people will do to me if they don’t like me, not trusting in God’s favor or direction in my life. I bet you and I could have long talks about this. I think some of it stems back to when I was a young teen, not knowing God at all, and being rejected by a close friend and being bullied by a girl for no good reason.. I was shy. I felt like I had to work harder to get friends and still to this day, don’t want to bother with friendships… I need to pray about this now that I’m writing it out. I love your show. I’m listening to it while I decorate my tree. God bless your family 🌴🌸✝️

My heart felt such joy as I listened and at times closed my eyes and envisioned myself standing with Abba with a ‘fence’ around us. That comfort beyond my thoughts. Jesus is tearing down the fence of me wanting to fix everything. Do and be what others expect of me instead I’m speaking up more and saying I don’t want to do this any longer. I can love, be patient and extend wish gratitude of what I’ve been granted. I can pray all the more for those who expect this as well.

One of the fences jesus is tearing down in my life right now is Control. having control in my life was very toxic based on fear, and now setting healthy boundaries and knowing that God already made a way .

I loved this. I had no idea that the not eating grain on the sabbath thing was made up by the Pharisees. We have to stop making fences for ourselves and even other people because it stops us from truly knowing God. Thanks guys ❤

Honestly, that’s truly something else. 🤔🧐 The religious leaders want to put up a bunch of fences around issues to keep from even committing to sins, yet it isn’t the same as truly dealing with the issues. And so now there’s people trying to gate-keep the truth of the Holy Spirit from people, and it’s crazy 🤣 Thank God for the scriptures to use for defense, and thank God even more to have the Holy Spirit to lead in sanctification, Hallelujah 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Thank the Lord for your channel once again and for ever we have internet disponible for us to enjoy some good sermon inspired by the Holy Spirit! As once, the Lord wanted me to get isolated as the season demanded that but now, he's opening the doors for us to share the gospel with the non believers and lukewarm friends that once got caught up in the wind and went far away. I thank God for not letting me ruin those season friends that I know will be back as soon as God let them be around so I can preach the gospel and let them know THAT WE STILL HAVE TIME AND A DOOR OPEN BY THE OWNER OF DAVID'S KEYS! PRAISED BE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD AND OUR REDEEMER!

Jesus nailed the mosaic law to the cross. And sin is the transgression of the law. Jesus didn’t do away with Gods law which is the Ten Commandments, if he did it would not matter if today we sin , but in 1 John3: 6 it’s says no one who remains in him sins continually. So yes Jesus did take away the sacrifices that Moses law had on the many sabbaths of the year, but he didn’t take away the sabbaths we are suppose to keep every Saturday on the seventh day that God had made for man

I dont think so but as he knew that he wasnt the real father, it was probably easy for him to deal that His son had a calling. But I do believe that Jesus was a good son, went and did the same thing as his father for a long period of his life and all. Even when he was left behind by them, it was their parent's fault as they forgotten him there xD
