EVOMS - Great source for information. When you are approaching a DIY job and have little or no experience in the task, this type of guidance (i.e. being able to actually SEE the theory and techniques being applied) is extremely valuable. KZbin put to its best use, and a great example of one persons learning curve shortening that of others. Thank you.

You’re so good at explaining each step and I’m needing to replace part of my fence and twin gates. Other YTers just say “this is how”, but then don’t explain why. Your explanations mean that I can make my projects based on my situation. Thank you :)

EVOMS. Did double gates fit your garden 6 years ago. That have me confidence to go onto bigger projects. The posts I bought had a groove sawn in I assume to prevent further splitting. Was amazed when doing my research that so many guides had the compression brace timbers running the wrong way offering no support whatsoever. Looking forward to the final part.
@AliDymock4 жыл бұрын
So true, I looked up a local fencer before doing this project and there was a picture of the brace running the other way. Nah, I'll do it myself. When the brace runs the other way it's called a 'tension brace' which does work if you are building with green wood. As the wood dries out it pulls the bottom latch side upwards but all timber we use nowadays is kiln dried so unless you are a using a wire, it's generally wrong.

EVOMS - This would be a great prize to win, as I am about to start my garden building project (A physiotherapy room for my brother who has cerebral palsy) within the next few weeks, I was quoted over £25000 by a company to build one to my specifications which is simply out of my price bracket (I'm a carer), then I found your build series and thought I would build it myself following your instructions, I have zero experience in building anything and no power tools to work with at the moment and I have just purchased a hammer, hand saw, and a spirit level set. Thanks for taking the time to showcase your build and giving us novices the confidence to build our own garden room : )

Hey guys! It's good to get a first giveaway for the channel. Let's call this an early 25k subs celebration 🎉. It's 230V. I'll use a random name generator to choose the winner and reveal it in a future video. Good luck! To be clear this, this isn't a sponsorship or anything but I've written a bit more in the description for those interested, plus there's a 5% discount code for all of Evolution tools 👍

EVOMS - Always frightens me when KZbin seems to know what I’m looking for. I’ve been watching lots of garden house videos, but I have a project to move the garden fence/gate forward so my side door is in the garden and not the drive. I haven’t researched or watched any videos regarding this, so saw part two which caught my eye. My plan is to put a 25/75 gate for flexibility. Great video 👍🏼

EVOMS - Thank you for a great video lesson on adding to a post height and building your own gate. You’ve helped me on how to build a good strong shed base for my beach hut project, and what bolts to use to secure to the dense blocks (still yet to buy the bolts, but thank you again for link and responding to my message). This is my next job as my gate posts are rotten. The EVO Mitre Saw would help me enormously as only have a good old fashioned hand saw.
