You can get ANY sound for ANY style out of the '57 Fender Custom Deluxe (Tweed) with the right pedals. I really didn't expect that. But you've heard so many stories about albums being recorded with small Tweed amps and this certainly corroborates that! I have assembled a pedalboard that I'm gonna use to push a 2007 '57 Deluxe. I'm using a 2013 Gibson SG CS Aged and a 2021 Fender Telecaster 1960 CS Relic. I've place the stock Jensen P12Q reissue with an original 1960 Jensen P12N. The pedals are:
1979 MXR M117 Flanger
1980 EHX Small Stone
1981 Boss OD-1
1983 Boss DS-1
1984 Boss DD-2
1983 Ibanez Tubescreamer
1992 Proco Rat 2
1990s DOD FX52 Classic Fuzz
1990s DOD FX65 Stereo Chorus
1990s K&B Range II Treble Booster
2020s JHS Morning Glory
2020s J Rockett Archer
2020s Wampler Equator
Carl Martin Compressor Limiter
