I liked the Deluxe Reverb. Both sounded great. The Deluxe just had something extra (more fullness)

To be honest, I believe you are hearing it exactly right too. That said, I can plug into the Knotty Pine 65 Princeton Reverb and get lost in the tone. Only in the side-by-side comparison do I hear and feel the dimension and something 'extra' that the 64 Custom Handwired Deluxe Reverb offers.

All answers are correct. If I had to choose just one, the Deluxe has something extra. But for a ton of the shows I play, all I need is the Princeton Reverb and it is superb on its own. If you hear it alone, it doesn't leave you wanting. It's only in direct comparison that the distinctions and differences are notable.

To me it sounds like you wanna sell the deluxe? Just sell it. If I were you I'd sell both and by a headstrong little king with a 12 inch speaker all your wants for stage playing and for house playing will go away just my two cents

I actually love this Deluxe Reverb. It is very sweet and musical. I would love to try a Headstrong Lil King however. That might be a magic size that delivers more performance than you would expect. Do you own a Headstrong Lil King? Feel free to email me; [e-mail] I'd love to learn more about them.
