Just bought one as my Fishman artist is being repaired (hopefully). Not a bad sounding amp, but does not compare to the Fishman. In all fairness, it is half the price. One small complaint are the led lights on the effects controls. The lights are so bright that is hard to read printed setting next to the bright white light. I put a small piece of clear milar (1x3) film over the lights and colored the film blue with a sharpie. Now the lights are dull enough to see the setting.

Great sounding amp with some good features. If I were to nitpick - there is no dedicated reverb knob on each channel - you can only select 1 0f 3 different reverbs as a preset. So - if you want to add a taste of reverb to your chorus selection - you can't. Also, if you buy this amp thinking "holy cow, 100 watts out of that little box with an 8" speaker????" well you may be disappointed. It's not as loud as I expected it would be. But the sound is sparkling clean, as you would expect from Fender. And man does it sound nice with a Strat plugged into it!
@deniscrispin68653 жыл бұрын
That's because it is solid state if you need 100 watts you need to purchase 40 watts more approximately you get true 100 watts in a tube amp or very close to it
@MOAB-UT3 жыл бұрын
Strat? You mean it takes pedals well? Just watch because it is a full range speaker so it could damage it if you play loud consistently with heavy distortion. It is designed for clean. Worse case though, you just replace the speaker. It should not damage anything else. If you use either or both of the outputs, does the front speaker still work?

Also I had the vocal bass side peggged and it still lacked warmth and bass That's just my opinion Also it has no Master volume like all other acoustic amps.. @MOAB-UT3 жыл бұрын
I play6ed this one today and I have a mini. I liked this one slightly more and the effects gave it a nod. When I get my Taylor, I plan to keep my Fishman and use both of them- for some really nice separated stereo sound. A quality A/B/Y will let you achieve that but since the Fishman has a mic input, I will just use my mic into the Fishman and the pup direct into the Fender to get the effects. Add some vocals and a quality backing track and you will be very good to go!

Im a 30+ year professional guitarist. I bought this thing thinking it would satisfy my needs while performing small venues, small church events, etc. WRONG! It is weak, flabby sounding speaker, the amp is virtually impossible to equalise to any decent sound, you can't adjust any parameters on the effects and it is thin across the board. Did I mention it was weak? Anyway, it is quite possibly the worst piece of gear Ive ever bought, at least in memory. Why oh why didn't I just buy the Fishman Artist or performer??! I made a mistake in buying this thing and Im here trying to save anyone else the trouble. If you want a bedroom amp for home, get it but you'd come out ahead doing without an amp at all. But if you plan to use the amp for a performance, DO NOT BUY

@@jacobm7421 I’ve been playing instruments since I was in fifth grade I’m a 46-year-old woman I know what it’s like to go from gig to gig and travel. Certain amps aren’t meant to be lugged all over I suppose. Just do your best and don’t take what I say personally. But if you can find ways to be more creative in taking care of things do it. You may even need to buy yourself a sewing machine and learn how to make a durable cover for it just like other men I know I’ve had to do with certain equipment. I wish you the best of luck with it.
