Yeah, that’s a more premium look. But it’s also a more traditional look, which I don’t think is what the are going for with the Meteora.

This is one of the first coil split guitars that actually sounds pretty good to me. I've tried some squiers with that option and it make the single coil version sound too strange.

I have the original meteora and the knobs look to be in the same place as this model. They have never been an issue for me. Awesome guitars.

I’d kill for a reverse body with appropriate pick guard version of this with the traditional non enlarged head stock. Perfect guitar!

Possibly move the knobs back a little too.

I really love the looks and sounds of a Meteorta, and hope to get one, but the knobs all need repositioning to get that knob down and away from the bridge pickup. I haven't seen anyone reviewing them that hasn't had some kind of issue with it, even if they didn't say so out loud. Love the Easyriders shirt! Man, does era that take me back to my teenage years.

This guitar has a lot of stuff I should like, the offset, HH, hard tail and essentially the G&L PTB system. I just haven't come around on the body shape just yet, and I like a lot of the weirder music man guitar shapes
@papasmamas12 ай бұрын
To me the body shape is quite ugly. Not super horrendous, but bad enough to think "what Fender? Are you kidding?". It could be much worse. I would play it, but surely not in my bucket list
@brandonpoole16702 ай бұрын
It’s not that the overall shape is bad, but that lower hip sticks out like a sore thumb.

I know they are different beasts all together, but how does this compare to the Jazzmaster ultra? I’m looking at buying the Jazzmaster or the meteora but for the life of me I can’t decide.

what is that fender super reverb amp to your left? i believe its the one your playing through with the fleur d'li graphic?

The Meteora is Fender‘s answer to the non-reverse Firebird minus the wonky headstock and tuning machines. Would have preferred if they kept the trem and left it to buyer if they want to deck it or block it. This looks good, but among the modern Fender offsets I prefer the Toronado on looks and ergonomics.

Reverend Guitars have been doing similar set-ups (offset body, PTB circuit) for a long time at a better price point.

It's not a real offset unless it has trem with lots of spring span to the bridge .That's just hard tail squashed "any guitar"

Bro the wood that they use for the fingerboard absolutely does not have a “sound” - the strings don’t even touch the fingerboard, they touch the frets…yeah it “feels” different but a lot of that is the finish, not even the wood itself, especially with maple…
@exastra2 ай бұрын
Bro, it absolutely does affect the sound. Lacquered maple necks sound completely different than an un-lacquered rosewood. Its widely known and accepted that maple necks have a snappier, brighter sound. You say the strings don't touch the fretboard but they do contact the fret which is embedded into the neck. Do you think the vibrations from the string do not transfer through the fret to the neck? Even when you are playing an open string vibrations are transferred through the nut. Every part of the guitar affects the tone, except like the pickguard and knobs (duh). To what degree that affect is heard is debatable, tho.
