I love the Meteora body shape, but the knob placement bugs me. I hate it when a volume knob is that close to the strings; I always wind up hitting it with the way I play. There's SO MUCH space on the pickguard, pull the knobs back! ...Or let Warmoth make the Meteora body shape so I can order and customize one of my own!

Saw one IRL, it's basically going to be unplayable for a lot of users. Ola's video is spot on. It hurts your finger. Notice how Tim (in this video) is anchoring with his pinky. The regular Meteora's already have this problem and this new Ultra II moved it closer... a serious miss. Maybe wait around a year and they'll be blowing them out and you can just move it yourself, haha.

Volume knob position is the big issue in this amazing guitar.

dump the tone knob and move the two volumes back a hole. cap the hole the volume left.

@@biffstronghold3926the PUPs are the issue in these and the Teles. Dunno re the Strats; not a Strat guy. Seems a strange place not to excel in guitars at this price point.

Really just watched this out of curiosity not expecting to consider this at all... I got my first Fender Strat almost exactly 50 Years ago (plus 10 days to be exact) and had at least two dozen Fenders since then. What has not happened in half a century is that I remotely liked the sound of a Fender humbucker... until now! Damn, this sounds and looks really good.

I love how Fender has released the AMERICAN ULTRA II Meteora, but still has not released a LEFT HANDED version at any level. I HATE being a lefty! This must be what bigotry feels like?

This guy is an amazing player. That being said, really dissapointed with the overall sound of the instrument. It's a looker, but that's where it ends.

Fender does a good job with getting good players to demo. I would actually be interested in this guitar if it was a different color. Why not just make it black? I know some people like this color, but to me it'd hideous. And the Ultraburst is a terrible choice on this guitar. The white is "meh". I mean seriously Fender, give us BLACK, a metallic blue, and maybe a classic 50's color...
