Thanks for posting. I have a 1985 metallic gray one. I've never seen one in red before. It's a very well made bass and I don't see very many of them these days. Nice demo!

I also have a silver one. Candy Apple Red is oddly more common than silver

Yes but keep in mind.... the model above is a very different bass. It has the later smaller pole pickups (less hot) and a different neck profile. Still a great bass but quick unlike your early model (1985). I have both the early and the late models. I prefer the early but both are well built.

I never knew this bass existed until 5 minutes ago. Watched this entire video and my honest assessment is that this PJ Bass has a very full sound, quite punchy and has great natural growl. Has what you'd want both from a precision bass as well as jazz or PJ Bass.

That Acoustic 220 has one of the greatest drive tones I have ever heard from a bass amp! Would I be right so say that it sounds pretty close to a Sunn Beta Lead, or are my ears deceiving me?

I can’t figure out why Fender called it a jazz bass? It’s closer to a precision sound-wise. 🤔

Because of the Jazz Bass neck, which is appreciated by JB enthusiasts and their style.

Hey guys, the bass you mentioned have an Exxxxxx serial number on the headstock and glossy finish in tha back of the neck, right?. I guess this one is a reissue or a correct period but just to be sold in Japan (PJ-555?). I'm following a fretless with Jxxxxxx s/n indeed.
