This is the best American fender you can get without using the custom shop in my opinion. Satin black, mahohany body, ebony fretboard and everything under 2,000 dollars. You cannot beat it.

hey there. i got one jim root strat. but it didnt include certificate of authentication. is it possible that a certain year of production didnt get certificate?? mine was made in 2016

That's a beautiful fucking guitar. I wouldn't miss the tone knob. I never mess with it. Imo lowering the tone knob muddies up the sound and drowns you out in a live or band setting. I love the no bullshit stripped down to the essentials vibe with the guitar but for the price it is pretty limited. You get American made but you can get an aggressive guitar with emgs and more versatility for much cheaper. The Jim Root tele is like 400 dollars cheaper I just don't see the justification for the price difference.

Jim Root is my idol ,now i had enough money to buy one of fender Jim Root signature. can you sugest which one is the best Jim Telecaster , Jim Stratocaster ,Jim Jazzmaster black / Jazzmaster White V.4 , so confused?!!

go for the black jazz master tele is great but the quality is still not as good as the American's the white tele looks the best to me but the fret is only 12" while the jazzmaster has a fret with the compound radius the jazzmaster v4 is overpriced and the fret is very thin to play with (no compound radius) the jim root signature pickups sound more dynamic but they do not outperform the 8160 set (personally i think Jim's live guitar sounds weak now without the 8160) if u like the look of the new jazzmaster, just go for it the strat is similar to the jazzmaster but it feels a lil bit smaller and lighter strat is too common for guitarists imo

What would you compare the neck shape to? Jackson soloist, Ibanez wizard, ESP, Schecter? Trying to get an idea on the shape and thickness.

It's a modern C...Deff not close to a Wizard! They are a deep C...the modern C is slightly thicker than your Schecters ..but not to much...
