Kingfish is one of the greats. He's truly amazing. It's a shame he's not a household name yet, but I'm convinced he will die a legend and people will one day tell stories of seeing him as a young man.

The Tele Deluxe is my favorite Fender design by far. Lots of cool choices on this one. I love the Troublemaker style bridge and bullet style oversized 70s headstock. Definitely cool that it's US made, rather than an import guitar. As for Kingfish, he's already a legend.

It sounds great and IMO not like a LP or a Tele which is good. The features are good, I have grown very fond to variations of soft v neck profile especially the Brad Paisley profile. Not a fan of the large headstock but find it ok on models intended to be freaky like Paranormals but otherwise is something I can't get past. The purple color is nice. I own the fender telecaster ultra is there enough of a sound difference between the kingfish and the ultra to make purchasing the kingfish worthwhile?
@rexrathtar38932 жыл бұрын
Not enough of a tele for me. Very nice colour -- though a little bit Cadbury's milk chocolate foil wrapper -- and sounds good, but with its humbuckers, controls, tuneomatic bridge and 12 inch fingerboard radius, it seems to be trying a little too much to be a Les Paul substitute. Obviously that suits Kingfish, but my own approach is that I'd just use a Les Paul.

I owned a Telecaster Deluxe in the 1970’s and loved it for it’s versatility but I thought then and I still think now, a Telecaster should have a Telecaster head stock and the pick guard on a Telecaster should extend to cover the lower horn on the body, like all regular Telecasters.
