Thank you for this comparison. I was hoping for something along these lines, as most people compare the Silver Sky to a custom shop or American Ultra model. Great work.

I really liked the tone of the Strat more.

both sound great, I was a little surprised to find myself preferring the fender. There's really good stuff coming out of the Mexican factory.

Ya, I'm actually trying to sell the PRS currently, just didn't bond with it.

Hi, I understand you sent the Strat back, but from your memory, would you say the neck profile was a soft v or more of a large rounded c? thanks

I remember it being a pretty thick, but don't remember if it was a soft V or rounded C. I see CME lists it as a soft V, and thats where I got it from, but Andertons says "large C". Thats strange.

Which one do you prefer?? I love the look of the strat. But how does it feel compared to the PRS?

Hmm well, I returned the fender because the nut was cut wrong. The stings were pushed to far to the high E side. I didn't really like it. The prs feels really nice but not a fan of the pickups. It's funny, if you look, I did a comparison video of the prs vs schecter and I actually like the sound of the Indonesian schecter better. Go figure. I'm actually selling the PRS currently too. Just not a fan of sss guitars I guess. 😂.

Really don't understand how nobody can match the Fender neck sound no matter how similar the shape, wood, pickups, etc. Fender for the win tone wise, PRS steals the esthetic/looks. If the PRS matched the Fender tone, it would be a no brainer imo, but I'll go for tone over looks 10/10 times

Bought this and was initially pretty disappointed. The neck is pretty fat, but the problem was the lacquer on the neck. The lacquer was "road worn" and to say it felt too rough would be an understatement. I had the neck sanded down, and although it took me awhile to get use to the neck, I now play and enjoy it quite a bit. And those pickups do sound great.
