I just bought the Player 2 Jazzmaster in Aquatone Blue and it's magic pixie dust. Great trem system, amazing rosewood board, rolled frets that feel broken in and smooth. And the pickups are clear, bright and yet warm. They are not ice picky even in the bridge. I love the minimalist, modern design and the jangly, vintage pickups. Fender was a little sus during the lockdowns. This is a massive step up in both quality control and playability. PS: The middle position on this guitar is sick. So is your playing by the way.

If you're willing to give up the rhythm circuit and strangle switch, it seems like a great option

May I ask a question - I've recently purchased the same Birch green JM, but my tremolo arm stands a lot closer to the guitar body; did you maybe bend it intentionally? Otherwise, I love it, the tone is so crisp and it has great sustain; neck is so comfy.

Hi, that’s just how the bar fitted from factory. There’s a chance it wasn’t pushed all the way in in which case it didn’t affect its function.

Middle screw on the trem plate will raise the bar up

@@stuartpowell255 It's my first JM and I did not know that! Thanks!

I bent my trem arm because I had the same issue. Now it's perfect, but apparently there is also that screw on the trem plate that can solve it as well. I decided to go old school with it.

There seems to be a lot of hum, especially at 09:00. Is the shielding really that bad?
