Fender Player Stratocaster Plus Top HSS, Review and Test

Just purchased this guitar yesterday at Guitar Center mine is also the 70th Anniversary Edition / Fender Player Stratocaster HSS Plus Top Maple Fingerboard Limited-Edition Electric Guitar Blue Burst. So far very good I still have to go thru the setup for string height and intonation. Very pleased with this guitar and do love the color! 🙂

I bought the same one at Guitar Center last year when it was on sale. My girlfriend had gotten me the cherry burst model with the 3 single coil pickups for Xmas the year before. I’ve never been a Strat guy before but that one blew me away! So when I saw this blue one at GC and it was on sale, I jumped on it! Yes, that humbucker is a fantastic upgrade from the single coil. Looking forward to your upgrade video where you change the tuners. I’m planning on doing that myself.

I just bought this and I opened it up and loved the color. It really pops. I love all black appliances on my guitar but the I do like the zebra coloring. I changed my tuners to a black set of locking tuners that I had bought for my other strat. It plays really, really well and it is so versatile. They say this is for a beginner, but I'd take this to a gig any night of the week.

680 usd its a fantatic value for an excelent Guitar, that Mexican Strat is not perfect but its is really really good, the tone and the playability its just perfect.... there are other options in the market... none of them has the iconic/epic tone of a Fender Strat like this🤘

buying the same one today 800Cad in mint condition and upgraded locking tuners hopefully its a good price

I have this guitar. It is a thin maple veneer. I swapped the neck for a Mexican replacement roasted maple neck and put Custom Shop ‘69 pickups with a Shawbucker Humbucker. Out of 6 Stratocaster this is my main gigging guitar

That is a nice guitar. Nobody does maple better than Fender.

Will these pickups fit in a 2024 American Strat? Also I have this guitar and it's amazing. My other question is do you know if the Fender Shawbucker 2 humbucker pickup is equal , better or less than the great sounding pickups on the Player strat you have there? Thank you.

Why on earth do you say it's easier bending than a les paul to bend strings. Do you not know a les paul is a shorter scale . Strats are def harder to bend strings. Plus the neck radius. .MOST STRATS are rounder pauls are flatter 12... A strat Is definitely more of a FIGHT.

having owned and payed both; I love a les paul and it's my favorite sound and all around guitar. but the ease of play on a start vs a les paul is almost as big of a difference as and electric to an acoustic for string bends etc. love the les Paul, but don't lie to yourself about it. that doesn't make it a bad guitar by any means, it's just rougher on your wrist and fingers- nothing beats a strat for ease of playability- that fact does not make it a good guitar. both are iconic in their own rite

So, what you bought vs the American... the American has a multi piece body. Some have over 4 pieces and they hide it. People have started to refinish and they are skimping on quality. The Mexican version has way less. Frets spurring? On a 800 dollar guitar, it is unacceptable. A 2 hundred dollar guitar is shown to have more quality in many cases. The player has a synthetic nut which is likely not plastic. People are saying its plastic. Thry dont know jack i think. The new player is better qnd updated from the older ones. No contour to the neck pocket though...
