Doug, this method requires too many footswitch presses to make it viable for live shows. I have abandoned setlists and song mode. I create a single preset for each song. In the preset, I use Footswitch Assign to create Intro, Verse, Chorus, Lead, etc. One footswitch press allows access to each preset within the preset. I have three presets across the top. After I use the third preset, I press up and move onto the next three. I have been using the Helix Floor since 2015, and this approach is more aligned with my programming of the Helix.

Yeah, different strokes, etc. I like your method - I came from the Fractalverse, and I made single presets with Scenes.

Like number 11 from me Doug. Great video. I just use the Set List option however we have about 26 songs in our current set list and for me I only use 4 custom patches. Best wishes Doug 👍👍🎶🎶. P.S. I'm hoping fender would create a "Hands Free" mode on the Tone Master Pro just like the Headrush.

Doug…. I want to be able to be in Effects FS mode and still be able to change presets up and down with the two far left foot switches without having to leave Effects FS mode. Presently, I don’t think that is possible, but the way I use the TMP, being able to do that would be a game changer for me. Maybe you know a way to do this, but I don’t think it’s possible now. I sure wish Fender would include a way to assign the two far left foot switches to move up and down through presets in their next firmware update. Of course, I’m aware that I can go out of Effects FS mode to select the next preset, but then I need to reselect Effects FS mode, requiring three actions instead of one. I have neuropathy in my feet which affects my balance, so being able to hit one foot switch to go to the next preset while still being in Effects FS mode instead of tap dancing, would be awesome. 🤪

Doug, doesn't it set it up to go to next song once you go through all the parts of the song, and then hit next song?

No. You have to press Next Song twice to get to the next Song, because the 1st press returns you to your presets in the current Song.

My tone master arrives tomorrow. I don't like the way the setlist works here. I need one button push to take me to the next song and have it already on the right setting to start the song like on my Axe-fxIII and Quad Cortex. Also, can you assign the two left up and down buttons to be on the right instead of the left? Thank you

No, currently you can't move the Next/Prev Song to the right side of the footswitches. if you just want to step thru a Song and then move on to the next Song, you absolutely can do that, but not while you're in Effects Mode.

I haven't used setlist mode but that seems quite annoying that it automatically jumps to FS mode?! Can you change the default behaviour so that you have to manually hit FS mode?

That’s only if you’re already in FS Mode: Effects (6 effects layout) and you choose next song - it returns back to effects FS mode after you choose the next song. If you’re in presets FS Mode it wont switch you into FS Mode effects. This same behavior applies in regular preset mode, not just songs. It only works this way if you’re running 6 effects FS mode (global settings>footswitch settings) and the left two footswitches are bank up/down or prev/next song. if you’re using 8 effects layout it doesn’t apply since those two footswitches are assigned to effects.

@@gmmakesmehurl Same with me, I tried everything and mine does not work like that in setlist mode. When I select a Verse, or Solo, etc., it does not change to FS mode. Also newbie to TMP but I cant find what is missing.

@rogerwolff319 Ive noticed that the Fender factory presets do work in FS mode. User (my) presets do not. So Im missing a setting or something.

@@gmmakesmehurl I think I got it to work on mine. Try first to go to the Preset list, then when at the presets screen turn the FS mode on, then go the the set list view and it should work.
