High-end fenders are really nice guitats…. Before you get i to the custom shop fenders they are RELATIVELY affordable for what you get, and in my experience very playable. My strat is a 2012 USA Deluxe and i absolutely love it….

That strat with the humbucker in the bridge with two single coils is a Texas flood varient. VERY nice guitar to have. cherish it :)

I have one of the latest Ultra Strats in Cobalt Blue. I modded it with Black Pickguard and white Lace Sensor Pickups (Red,Silver,Blue) so i basically made me a Corgan 90s Strat in excellent Quality and Feel

I played the tele in that same finish at my local shop today, and I gotta tell ya, it's one of the best new Fenders I've played in a long time. The Raphael Saadiq tele was really similar in the neck feel, but the body feel and finish of the Ultra II was better. Fender is definitely stepping up their game.

I ended up getting a Meteora in a trade around when they were new and I couldn't stand the volume knob placement. The fix for me was plugging the volume off, moving it back one and drilling out a spot for the tone knob. The difference that made was massive. In stock form I personally find them unplayable as you just can't nail on them, the upgrade as I see it on it is a must. I do the same thing with most strats I get too though since the knobs are just too far inward, makes all the difference. With strats I find one universal tone knob sufficient enough, kind of like most super strats.

Those are some great looking guitars and I appreciate the unboxing and first impression video. That being said, I really don't understand why Fender decided to put the volume knob so close to the bridge pickup on the Meteora. A lot of people are bothered by this position on strats and one would think that they had learned from the past.

I love strats ❤ But literally my only problem is the location of the volume knob! Its in the way!

In the way of what? I never understood this complaint. I have 5 different shaped guitars. My 89 3 knob SG and PRS SE are perfect. But id rather have a strat than a les paul. They are too far away. My hand rests on the bridge palm muting or being ready for it 99% of the time. The knob can be reached by my pinky. Whats in the way is the les paul pickup switch. I bash that several times a gig when my hand isnt palm muting

Fender first produced a guitar with a humbucking pickup (H), single-coil pickup (S), and single-coil pickup (S) arrangement, known as an HSS guitar, in 1988. Many people dislike the placement of fenders' volume knob. It seems to be too close to the bridge pick-up. All guitars have their purpose, perhaps not aggressive picking friendly. Normally, blues and rock. But fender trying to attract other genres.

I wish I liked Fender guitars more. They seem like a pretty cool company (I mean, they're willing to send guitars to Ola, a competitor, for him to check out), especially compared to Gibson's corporate behaviors. I just can't get behind single-coils, middle pickups, or their "jazzy" shapes (which have the humbuckers). I do have a Tele that I put in Hot Rails, and I do enjoy that guitar, but that's about it.
