If they give you whatever you need at ones they cannot create version II, III, IV etc and justify the increment of the price. This is not an evolution it’s a legal robbery. Let’s pray they put stainless steel frets with version III without asking for 3k, you know, steel is expensive nowadays.

The guy with bass at the start said it right. These designs are timeless for a very good reason. Leo got a lot of it right when he first designed them in the 50s. The shapes are very comfortable, the buttons are in convenient places, I can go on. However, there were things Leo Fender didn’t have access to in the 50s. Stuff we didn’t yet know and had to invent. We’ve invented those things now. So now we can do compound radius necks, noiseless single coil style pickups and all of that fun stuff. And I spotted locking tuners! An excellent little extra that gets skipped over too often.

Fender - I think you guys did a phenomenal job fine tuning an already excellent instrument. In 2000 I wanted a Stratocaster. So I went to Guitar Center and the first guitar I pulled down. A white with ebony fretboard for $400 (!) I couldn't be happier....until today. Damn you! Everything you did is perfect. The satin neck and smoothed corners. Noiseless pickups and the humbucker option is outstanding. The neck joint doesn't really bother me, I have big hands. But that contoured addition is really beautiful and looks so comfortable. The control knobs and features, again, really smart. Just brilliant. If I ever run into some money you will definitely hear from me. Beautiful job guys, I totally approve. 👏 👌 💯 % 🎸 🕉

I originally purchased the Mexican player HSH Stratocaster and really enjoyed playing that guitar so much that I wondered how much more Fender can offer. So after researching the Ultra 2 , I just purchased the HSS with the ebony rolled over fret board with the medium jumbos. All the stats and upgrades right down to the dual tremlo with a cold rolled bar just sold me. The guitar is to be delivered on Friday! I'm really looking forward to cranking out some tones thru my fender tone master blonde twin reverb amp! Of course with a tube screamer pushing those hot pickups! So syched.

You guys should go even more all in on the modern features when you make the Ultra Luxe II, don’t underestimate the amount of people who want a truly updated modern design guitar with Fender on the headstock. Stainless Steel Jumbo frets, 1 volume & 1 tone is all we need and please move the volume knob slightly on the strat so that you don’t accidentally hit it when palm muting, this is a problem so many people have with the strat so don’t be afraid to improve the design

I own the American Ultra strat HSS in texas tea which I owned for over a year now. Fantastic guitar and I wasn't to keen on the D shape neck at first, prefer C shape but it definitely has grown on me. These new models look and sound great. Love the look of sinister red with the black.👍

I kinda wish they keep the block inlays for the Ultra basses like they did with the Elite series. Another thing I noticed is that the fretboard and front of the headstock is also completely satin, which I don’t like. The Professional II does it right, satin on the back of the neck and gloss on the front, especially if you have a maple fretboard.

Rolled fret ends can be a problem with getting the outer strings slipping off I prefer guitars to have square fretboard edges and rounded fret ends enough to not be caught. If somebody wants it rounded more, thats possible to do DIY or luthier, but its not possible to get that material back when done Just sharing my thoughts on something I have noticed been way overdone recent years

So I have an Ultra Luxe. Silver grey Floyd Rose. Love it. Really for me was perfect.. Remains stock... I thought Ultra Luxe as the Cadillac of the Ultra series. no big deal if not.. I still love it. The Ultra is cool.. but I guess a more vintage setup? Is that right? So the difference between a Ultra II is the Ultra II is modern setup. Both being awesome.. Not meant to top Ultra but to be a modern variation? Was that the intention of the Ultra II.. (Yes I like it.. but I like most of your guitars even on the lower tiers... MIM I still like a lot and I have luthier level setup skills so I can make a MIM shine like a diamond). So respect to all the tiers.

Love the new line and hope to get one someday. The rubberized knobs and rolled fret boards should be standard on everything. If a guitar is supposed to "get out of your way" then why did you put the volume knob of the Meteora right under the bridge pickup and not about 1.5"-2" further back or make them shorter? Especially when you have that knurled metal cheese grater of a knob tearing into people's pinkies fingers? Fender is worth how much as a company and you can't pay someone to do the closed captioning instead of relying on Google voice-to-text or something and having to read something that looks like it was written by a teenager with a broken thumb trying to type in a hurry?

It wouldnt be so bad if you still offered block inlays and more colors. The Ultra I are better than the Ultra II. Repackaged as an excuse to charge more money IMO.
