I recently got the NS CR 5 , its a great bass. I want to get the fretless version someday., Love your playing, didn't get to you with Porcupine Tree, but hope to you perform somedays. Thanks for your sharing your bass skills and your collection!
@quickwashtheraccoon7601 Жыл бұрын
My favourite bass is an ibanez fanned fret. The 1st model they had. It is not the best bass. But it is a good modding bass. At the end nothing will stay the same, I guess. I also like squier basses. They are cheap as ... . And with used stuff very cheap to mod. I had a Dingwall but I sold it. The sounds of the After-Burner was great. But I am not so big like you. The 37 inches were a pain in the astronaut. I asked Sheldon of Dingwall to change the shape of the body but he said it is okay like it is. Perhaps I am going to build a custom fanned fret bass. But I am going to avoid Dingwall for my life. You should try a Wal-Bass. It could support your playing styles. And I like Status-Basses. They are solid and deliver. Very easy to find good sounds on a Status.

What an amazing collection of both conventional and exotic basses and all the ranges in-between. Also, I really appreciate how you didn't just do a walkthrough of your collection the way so many other YT videos do, where you just point at or pick up an instrument and show it to to camera and talk very briefly about it. You took the time to really introduce each and talk about why you like it and how you use it, and then demonstrate with actual music--many of which you composed yourself. This is a whole different level of commitment and effort and shows not only your talent and skill and experience as a bass player, but also your character as a person.

Wow! Thanks! This was very informative. I got my first bass 6 years ago but started getting increasingly more and more into bass starting 2 years ago. I wonder, how did you get the crispy, guitar-like tone for the Kiesel Zeus 5? Would you say it was solely because of the pedal you displayed? Also, you are a very versatile, dynamic player! Amazing! Also, what are your thoughts on 6 string basses? I believe I only saw 1 in your collection. Or maybe I was hallucinating and did not see any. Also, I noticed most modern bass players mainly use active basses or passive/active basses. Is that for the 3 band eq? Or more so you can make quick tone changes during a live performance? Looking forward to hearing back!

Cool collection, Nate 😎🤘🏻🎸 I personally liked the jazz basses, the Spector basses, the sterling stingray, the peavey cirrus, and the Jackson spectra. I wish peavey would still make basses. I use to own a peavey millennium bass and it sounded great. It’s got a percussive punchy tone and it sounds killer with distortion. I also thought about getting a Jackson bass myself. I do dig the spectra bass. I tried one out years ago and I thought it sounded awesome. Other than that, that’s quite a collection you got.

You wouldn't by chance have a Tab for the piece you played when demoing the Fender American Vintage II?
