DEFINITELY Rockin' Robin'!!! Michael Jackson did a very early version of this tune and he "bopped" the heck out of it! And I'm currently in the process of learning one of Louis Johnson's bass-lines from one of Michaels original tunes from the late 80's! I've got my work cut out for me! GREAT JOB, as always, my friend!

Thanks Dan. I can see you making a cool job of Billie Jean or any of that stuff. I look forward to it. I'm pretty sure it was James Jamerson but I think my all-time favourite Motown bassline is on Reflections by The Supremes..... apropos of nothing at all. Hahahahaha. Good to see you. See you over at your place soon :-)

quite short compared to your usual vids :-) I liked the music. For distortion I use the Quilter phantom block nowadays. Best regards Frank

Thanks Frank. Very few people watch more than a couple of minutes so I thought if I make it short it will help my percentage :-) I don't know Quilter at all but from what I see on-line it looks like a direct recording device. Because I record the sound with a Zoom camera I always use a pedal in front of my amp and can choose from the (too) many I have collected over the years.

what string gauge do you play, Paul, btw? Still listening
@PaulMcCaffreyfmac2 жыл бұрын
Thanks again Frank. I use 10-46 on all the electrics except for my old 1962 Stratocaster which has 10-52. I favour D'Addario because their packaging is genuinely airtight and I can buy sets in dozens for the best price.

Don't like these guitars. But each to there own I suppose.. 😁
@PaulMcCaffreyfmac2 жыл бұрын
My declining health means I am finding it increasingly hard to play the old guitars that I own that I would prefer to play and have to find guitrs as light as possible instead. If you've tried these and don't like 'em that is absolutely fair enough but I was frankly amazed at how well finished they are and how nice to play. Thanks for dropping by and for taking the time to comment.
