19:12 this is true ! most trauma victims experience amnesia or memory loss regarding their trauma and the brain covers up the memories, but they still react to things as if it happened, they're traumatised but can't remember why, it's especially common in childhood trauma there are types of therapy that can unlock these memories but remove the negative association with them

It just didn't seem like an "ex" vibe to me, kaveh also talks quite a lot about alhaitham, in alhaithams introduction video and (I think it was) tighanari that has a voice line that when kaveh got drunk he kept talking about alhaitham

Consider watching someone like Zy0x for his Alhaitham guide. I was following Alhaitham's leaks from the start so I learned how to play him before he even came out and Zy0x's explanation of how to play Alhaitham correctly is very good, so if you're having some trouble, definitely recommended to go check it out for best damage. It's not hard once you understand what and when to do

It's mostly the mirrors that can be tricky. If you start with a burst, you get three, and you want to try to keep them up for as long as possible. So next you do some normal attacks then switch to skill, go back to normal and charged attacks, rinse lather repeat from there really. Just remember - normal attacks can give one mirror, skill gives two if you have none, one if you have some, burst gives you three with none, two with one, and one with two. Have fun, experiment - you don't need the maximum damage, you should just try and enjoy playing him!

jesus christ genshin really keeps getting darker and darker, no? i know that's a weird thing to take away from the whole quest, but that part with a student ending his life really took me off guard, like- it wasn't something i expected to be casually mentioned in genshin i guess? there have always been pretty dark themes in the game here and there, but i think nothing's been quite as impactful as this, maybe because of how straightforwardly it was presented here. i do love that they've been getting progressively more daring with some things, though, it's honestly quite refreshing in a way

The 3.4 update was absolutely insane New are is so cool and totally pacted with lore and little secrets that you happend to dig up from time to time . I've got Alhaitham and am very pleased wirh his performance as DPS . He is more like a Childe than Keqing honestly. His playstyle is complicated so you have to practice and learn how to maximize his potential. Not to mation Latern Rite. Best event ever ! I live for the lore of Liyue. It's just so godly . OMG THE CHANDRA VOICE I don't know if you ever watched Marco, an opera singer-turned voice actor. He reacts to music themes from games (lots of genshin demo and boss themes, plus other games). I believe he only now entered Inazuma in his playthrough, so he couldn't really tell us where is his npc, BUT IT'S CHANDRA. I'm so happy for him. On the memories thing, it is actually possible for your brain to block memories because it thinks theyre too dangerous to remember so they forget to keep you safe, in a lot of trauma related disorders this is often the case, you can sometimes unlock them and some routes of therapy can be trying to remember them to work out things, etc. (this is to my knowledge, do not take it as 100% facts because I’m not a human brain psychologist but I’ve done a bit of research here and there)

I am late but I feel very strongly about Yelans Story Quest and would like to know why you didnt like it. For me it was one of the best story quests in the entire game and I would say that it offered lots of interesting agent work and had tons of fun intrigue to go with. I also found Zhiyi to be a good villain because he was smart and had his own motives that were pretty thought out in my opinion. If you dont want to answer thats fine aswell but I would like to hear someones perspective of it from the other side of the coin. Have a good day regardless!

Personally I thought the story for Yelans quest was absolutely fantastic but the gameplay was some of the worst imo.

Personal opinion (I know you didn't ask me but maybe Rednas feels similar to me? Idk, anyways): I do think Yelan's story quest was good in that the mystery was good and Zhiyi was a great villain (and his English VA was amazing when giving that villain speech), but we hardly learned anything about Yelan other than that she's clever and holds quite a lot of power (shown through her underlings working for her, and how that old guy from the Qixing trusts her). Both of those things we can already infer pretty because of the way she acts easily. Sometimes, I feel as though story quests can revolve around NPCs too much, which cause the actual playable character to take a backseat in the storyline. Not to say that story quests involving NPCs can't be good, one of my favorites was Venti's story quest, where we helped Stanley with his issues, but also learned a lot of Venti's backstory in the process. One last minor reason, Yelan's story quest felt really similar to Ayato's especially because I did hers right after Ayato's. It felt like deja vu, because both are Hydro vision wielders, both are schemers more than fighters, both have secret agents working for them, and their story quests both revolved around solving a mystery/uncovering a secret plot. Anyways, that's all I wanted to say. Not the worst story quest, just not my personal favorite, though I still had fun and was entertained because Yelan still is a cool character :)

For me: I was entertained by Yelan's story quest but it wasn't eye opening, something to think about, nor did it impact me emotionally, so it goes in the slightly above average category for me (Same with Alhaitham's quest. They were both well written. They just didn't go above and beyond for me) Some of my favorite character story quests were Venti's, Tighnari's, Childe's, and Nahida's first one (Childe's didn't really make me emotional at all, except laughing at him every time he had to randomly change to "The Best Toy Salesman in all of Teyvat" in front of people and the occasional finding his and Teucer's relationship wholesome, but it revealed a lot about his character and teased the crazy amount of depth he has (especially for a gacha character) which was eye opening and something to think about (It wasn't a redemption arc like everyone pretends. It was just finding stuff out about Childe that was already there)) My all time favorite would be Shenhe's but that's not really a character story quest. It's an archon quest that revolves around her. I don't think Shenhe's would have hit as hard as it did if I wasn't one traumatized potato, but damn, it made me sob
