Dear Kochu, nice video. I was planning to upgrade my DLP either with lamp based or laser. Was checking some youtube video finally end up here. Excellent. My major concern is that my personally edited HDR-PQ/ HLG in Cinema Gamut will video lost its details while viewing in DLP projector. Also the pixel shifting is killing native 4k. Due to my mobility limitation I may end up in buying laser short throw. Well thanks for the wonderful video.

All Xiaomi laser projectors are using .47 DMD chip. This means they are using pixel shifting to achieve full 4K. They are not native 4K DMD. You will be looking at Sony etc for native 4K. Will cost significantly more.

Hi, when I compare the Hisense L9G and Samsung The Premiere (LSP9T). The Hisense is having more lumens compared to Samsung. Does it mean we will get brighter images? I like the package Hisense is giving overall and they include an ALR screen too. Can you create and share a video about ALR screens available in the market?

Hisense is not talking about ANSI lumens. That is shady. So their 3000lumens claim means nothing. They claim 106% of REC 2020 coverage. If that is true, this is unprecedented. Chance of it being true is slim. Also look at LG Hu85. We are not planning to do more screen reviews soon.

Hi, Do you own a home theater as well? how did you hook up this with the home theater setup? I was thinking of getting an OLED TV. after watching your reviews, thinking of a short-throw projector. My current setup is a Toshiba tv with bose soundbar and subwoofer. I am seeing the projectors are missing HDMI arc ports which might be a concern for audio connectivity

Many projectors now have HDMI ARC. ARC may not be important if you have an AVR. There is an extensive video series on home theatre setup on our channel. You can refer them for a deeper understanding.

Xiaomi Mijia is slightly less bright compared to Fengmi. We are getting a solid 150 inch projection. 154 to be accurate at this point. Which is pretty big. You can directly connect apple tv to one of the HDMI inputs.

Fengmi have better colour accuracy and coverage. 116% of Rec 709. 85.5% DCI-P3. Lower input lag 32 ms. VAVA have 113% Rec 709, 83.3% DCI-P3 coverage. 90+ ms input lag. Vava may have better local support depending on where you live. Fengmi is a slightly improved version of Xiaomi.
