Got to say, Fenix have knocked it out of the park. Some minor tweaks to get it perfect, like the lighting through the sunshades. But otherwise it works as it should.

FS2024 is working perfectly for EXCEPT for one annoying thing.... jetways... those connect normally but when i switch to external view those go all over the place. Through the cockpit and enything. I cant fly nothing if the jetways are IN the cockpit. Anybody else having this problem?

One problem with the default airports I found at least on some of them. is elevation issue when a taxiway crosses a roadway. For example KPHX the taxiway overpass is not model dropping the plane onto the roadway making it imposable to get to the other side.

PMDG and others took the effort to program everything into the sim itself so it doesn't need an annoying launcher to run everytime you fly it.

@@fernandop7185 100% this. Fenix has done a amazing job with their aircrafts and have nothing bad to say about them. The thing that bothers me is that many people do not understand that PMDG is simultaneously working a 3 maybe 4 aircraft at once. They are not a really big team either over there. Also that PMDG works within the rules of MSFS and not externally like Fenix. This is why PMDG has their products within Xbox as well and Fenix does not. Worst part is due to all of this, RSR also have the explanation on why it might take a while for them to bring their products over to 2024 and that was because apparently Asobo forgot to package the C++/WASM tools needed within the SDK. That one was surprising because they literally have it in 2020, why couldn't they copy and paste the tools and tweak them for the new sim, how do they forget to package that. It is mostly the people who do no understand anything about development and software coding who complain on why developer A can not do what developer B did. Every add on is different. One will not run the same and another.

Tbf if you fly the fenix between two 2020 airports in the community folder you get a really great experience. Taxi is considerably better. I still get some blurry textures on landscape at times. Just shows you sim works really well with one best sim aircraft available and downloaded airports who would have thought 😂. Gratz to Fenix on such a quick port and obviously will only get better

Hi, I'm using simbrief to plan my flights. No need to use an external addon to move around, the simulator does that very well with its internal functions. I think the default commands are Ctrl+wasd. Yes, for ATC I only use VATSIM.

Yes unfortunately MSFS2024 is very demanding in case of PC and internet speed. Fenix just adds to it as it’s a very complex plane

For me, the cockpit is dark and all the buttons are facing the left when I first load in. You can interact with the buttons, but they don’t work and also the efb is not working.

Sometimes it seems to work for me, other times not. In any case just imagine you're wearing that ANR headset that any real pilot would wear when flying the plane. Those do an awesome job of filtering out the engine noise.

Comparing this to the A330, and considering that it comes with the sim, I'd say the A330 is around 95% there. If it was a payware addon I't give it 80% ish. Now for the Boeing aircrafts. Also apparently there is a Boeing 737 - 500/300 CL in development by CSS?

Yep, in regards to the SOP the A330 is really good! It still misses a lot of the stuff used on long hauls though. ETP, Offset, RTA, Time Markers, Constant Mach, etc are currently missing.

Do you remember that you accidently commanded the aircraft to climb when you panned around with the default camera keys? That happend to me as well only that I commanded a bank. The Aircraft rolled right out of the protections and ended up in a spiraling stall. That shouldn't happen in an Airbus. So as far as daily operations go, the IniBuilds Airbusses are fine, but the moment stuff goes wrong, they are not.

I think once we have more addon aircraft available, offering a higher quality piloting experience, and once Asobo has taught the sim to load terrain in a more stable manner, it will actually be quite good. The initial experience was really determined by the bad quality of a lot of the standard aircraft (except the iniBuilds ones) and the server issues. Once those are ironed out I am sure many will rethink their opinion of the sim. I start to like it as well, provided it doesn't crash to desktop on me when I'm clicking myself through the menus trying to load a flight.

IniBuilds delivered, GotFriends for their small quirky GA ones as well. But Carenado and Asobo themselves totally failed. The PC24 is not even flyable. And that is a default Premium Deluxe aircraft. I paid 140€ for that package!

Shows you don’t know what you are talking about, the weather radar issue is not Fenix fault, it’s down to Asobo. It was not supported in 2020 and so far not supported in 2024.

Incidentally the Inibuilds A3xx models a weather Radar (how good it is, is debatable) and in 2020 the A320 neo has both a WXR and terrain Rdr. Also PMDG now models a wxr on their planes, so it is possible Fenix just hasn't chosen to model it, so I standby my statement!!

I'd say the A2A Simulations Comanche is the 'first' study level aircraft in MSFS2024, it was pretty much almost 100% compatible from day one. But apart from that, I still don't know how to get liveries in the fenix livery installer into 2024

Almost all systems for the fenix A320 run outside the simulator, in seperate programs. The PMDG runs entirely in the sim.

@@mari8itThe reason PMDG aircraft are not in FS2024 yet is because the tools they need to do the conversion are not ready. Asobo provides those tools. If the tools are not ready, they cannot convert the aircraft. A few others have commented the same.

Everybody forgetting 2024 uses the exact same engine and architecture as 2020. Therefore PMDG has been bested by Fenix who didn't moan, or try to charge their customers again for the same product like PMDG did with P3DV4.
