I'm glad that you explained how turbo works and the real runtime. Subbed! For a smaller, more manageable light that still has a 7 second 9.5k lumen turbo (but shorter runtimes), I would get the Nitecore TM9K instead. The Fenix PD40R v2 is also insane and one of my favorite flashlights.

👋 so turbo only last 40 seconds then goes down ? Can you try after 40sec turn it off and turn it back on to see if it goes back to turbo for another 40sec or so 🤔. if you have time please do this for me im undecided between this one and the tm9k nitecore but the nitecore only last 5 sec on turbo. Thank you 🙏. My nitecore tm28 with 🔋 pack gives me 3:30 - 4:00 minutes on turbo I love it the 2nd time I press turbo it only last 30secs seconds 🙏.
@ChrispyThings3 жыл бұрын
It steps down from turbo because of heat. It’s protecting itself and steps down to a more manageable temp. Yes you can turn it off then switch it back on, but until the heat dissipates, you won’t get the full lumens out of it.

I paid $229 for a TK75 2015 Edition. 4k lumens. The advantage to it is it has 4 batteries and longer run time at cooler temps. The LR35R is actually cheap for 10k lumens. That's my opinion though.
@andrewzhuk8713 Жыл бұрын
So basically 10000 lumens here is just marketing. It will produce in average 3000 lumens according to the graph
@ChrispyThings Жыл бұрын
Exactly
@MemphisMojo15s Жыл бұрын
When it drops down, hit the button to bump it back up if higher output is needed. It gets hot, so yes, it is 10k, then steps down gradually until 3k or so. It is VERY useful and packs a punch for a small light. Not much to complain about, really.
@andrewzhuk8713 Жыл бұрын
@@MemphisMojo15s Have you tried it? I thought the brightness might decrease over time because the battery output drops. It seems that the 10K lumens would require a lot of power, and the battery might not be able to sustain that for a long period.
@MemphisMojo15s Жыл бұрын
@@andrewzhuk8713 I tried it some and it will go back to the 10K range, then just gradually step down. It will stay above the high for quite sometime. Naturally, it will drop and eventually it won't hit the 10K because of battery drain. I have used all of my lights this way and i will actually turn them off, leave off for about 10 seconds, then turn it back on and go to turbo, and I can get close to the highest brightness for a few minutes until the battery just can't get there anymore. Hope this helps, but with this light being so smal and lightweight, I actually carry it using the pocket clip and it isn't even heavy
@AGC828 Жыл бұрын
40 odd seconds at 10k lumens isn't bad till it began ramping down then to step-down. When was that? 2 minute? FENIX seems to be the best at giving us more Turbo time....even if the heads do get fairly warm "fast"....we should really only be using HIGH and Turbo in short 3 second bursts and not count on max lumens as the lumens mode for that situation. Where we need consistent lumens.... Companies should focus less on putting out torches with crazy high lumens just to sell more lights VS focusing on stretching run-times. Stretcihng tihe time a light can give us the rated lumen on HIGH and Turbo longer while keeping hte light easy to hold ner the head....being only mildly warm. Much rather have a light with 1200 max lumens that can stay at 1200 lumens for "longer than the normal 30040 seconds before ramping down...achieve a time of 10 minutes...heh... What good is any torch if you only get 5 seconds of max lumens?? :) e.g. Acebeam e70, Nitecore P20iX.....
