Olight makes a great light, but they need to lower their prices just a bit to be competitive against some of the other manufacturers (namely Fenix). This comparison really highlights the value disparity among these two brands.

The one big advantage of the Olights thrower, is that it is great shining between the houses or in populated areas. No spill. The flood is perfect for short range, but it is one or the other, not both like the Fenix or the Niwalker flood throws. As for quality, my first lights were Fenix lights and they still going strong after ten years, eight for the Olights. Great comparison 👍

That is a great point, and you are absolutely correct in what you said. I also kinda like the square...lol. I don't know why exactly, but its kinda different and I like it!

I would start by going here: fenix-store.com/pages/warranty-info There is some information to read and determine if you think the warranty would cover it, and if you want to ship it or just get the part...If you are close to Broken Arrow, OK, I believe this is where the repair facility is located. If you just want the glass then I would select the "Chat" option, which I believe is in the bottom right of the webpage link I posted, and see what Fenix will do. If possible, please post back and let everyone know how this worked out, and what cost you incurred to replace the glass.

Well, I have both, and bought them both with my own money. The Marauder 2 sits on a shelf on the 3rd floor. I never use it. The Fenix Lr40R V2 stays downstairs and it gets used!. The Fenix is seriously that much better...it is not even close. As far as battery capacity, they are both great and pretty much exactly even, but I guess technically the Fenix would last longer since it has an ECO mode, though I do not use ECO mode. To be clear, the Marauder 2 is not an awful light, it is a good light on its own merits...it just is not as good as the Fenix LR40R v2.

@@frenki4993 The LR40R V2 shines wider and brighter than the LR50R. I cannot speak to the Acebeam X50 as I do not own that light.

I like olight and own 2 of them including a marauder mini. but for even money I prefer the lr40r v2. The ui is almost as good as olight and with combined flood and spot modes and higher power in general I went with the fenix. I was able to get a good discount which made buying the fenix a no brainer

Its hard to go wrong with either, but yah I agree with you completely... that Fenix LR40R V2.0 is a GREAT LIGHT!
