I recently took this out hiking in the mountains of British Columbia here in Canada. The recharge ability is invaluable, and lasts much longer than I anticipated. The size is perfect, it feels great in the hand, and easy to keep on your belt loop for easy access. Easily one of my best purchases of 2023.

Agree 100% - Fenix is the Best. Most accurate Tail switch in a tactical or Emergency situation too. I have a TK15, TK15 U.E. and the PD25R.

I had the original PD25 and it’s by far my favorite light. The size is perfect. Great power and runtime balance. Take the Fenix rechargeable battery or the standard CR123. Love but my son lost my clip and now the actual light too. So I think I’ll be picking this one up.

This is a favorite edc light of mine as well. You don't feel underpowered outdoors because of the throw, which makes it more versatile than most lights of its size. Plus I prefer lights with a tall switch.

Great review - thank you. I've only had one Fenix torch - that was a PD2. It was recently lost and I was so happy with it I'm just planning in getting the PD25R which as far as I can tell is the replacement model in today's line up. I had the PD2 for maybe 15 or 20 years - I'm not sure exactly but somewhere in that range. The PD2 has been everywhere with me, EDC - bush, every where and it was still working beautifully the rubber switch cover was still fine, it was just a great light that lasted for ever. It had been left only accident until the battery ran flat, it had been dropped, into the drink briefly, used in heavy rain. It was totally reliable. My plan was to watch a couple of reviews, which I have done, and based on my PD2 experience and the few reviews I've watched I have no hesitation in going out and buying the PD25R. My only dissapointmnet is that there is no filter or traffic cone that fits the Pd25R, but as it looks like the accessoires for the PD35 are about 1mm bigger, I figure putting an o-rong around the head should fix that. The E18R V2 also looks good, but I really want the back button, and I think the point about the candella applies - the PD25R I think will have more reach.

I own a similar flashlight, the eagtac dx3b mini.. has better output than this one but the UI is so buggy and frustrating. Also the USB port is simply covered with cheap plastic.. This is a nicer flashlight imo, I would have preferred only one mode (or moonlight of 1 lumen and turbo) .. For the moment the old streamlight + 10440 battery is the best pocket EDC flashlight :p

Does the beam have a greenish tint to it? I kinda noticed that in the video but I'm not 100% certain. Also, what LED is in this light? The ONLY negative about this light that I can think about is that I would have preferred the battery to be a 1 x 18350 instead of a 1 x 16340 for almost double the runtimes at the specified modes with the light only being just a few more mm in size. I'd compare this to the EagTac DX3B MKII. Thank you for the video.
