Hi Mark, pleased that you finally caught a Pike, I was the Bream angler upstream of you that day, after getting bitten off by a Pike which grabbed my double worm hookbait, I also just managed a late single Bream in the afternoon, just short of 8lb so well pleased.

Nice one mark good to get one on the bank no matter what size. Just sorted out my gear so hopefully will be back on the bank next week when on my rest days . Missed two months because of my bad shoulder/ Arm can't wait anymore lol. Buzzing to get back on the Bank. But you and other fishing videos have kept me entertained. It's one run sessions here too, Mark. They're only interested in sardines, freshwater deads are left untouched. I put a circle hook through one eye and out the other, not the prettiest arrangement but the pike are nicely hooked in the scissors and you get more than one cast from a sardine. Weird about your tyres, can't the garage plug them?

Well done Mark. I put in a 14 hour session on Glassmoor bank on Friday and the only thing that touched my deadbait was a Cormorant. Also had an Otter come through my swim. Thats a first for me. I knew they were in the area but never seen one where I fish.

Getting more common to see than rats and mink. I normally find if the otters are about then the fish aren’t.

Used to be a nice novelty seeing them, but the numbers are getting out of control on some stretches. I’m especially bitter as one visited my pond twice and virtually cleared it out. When they run out of fish on the drains, they move on to anything else they can get hold of. Had a farmer tell me he lost a load of chickens to one last year.

Mark I seem to have more success with the roaming approach on large river just lately. Been finding more than one fish at some spots probably where the bait fish are. What looks a lovely swim to us maybe devoid of fish🧐 Good luck and tight lines as always 🎣

I first thought mark when it first broke surface hello this is a decent fish .. but a fish is better than a blank well almost .. keep at um mate the piking gods will see that you hook the unexpected .. still plenty of time yet !!

depending on the bait size 1/0 or 2/0 I always go arse over elbow at least twice a winter 🤣
