Nate has always been someone I’ve worried about and adored. Some of my favorite high school memories included him. Always intelligent, kind, and a great conversationalist, he could have done so much with his life. I know there are so many others in Oswego who are rooting for him and hate to see him going through this. Nate, you can make it, I’m going to keep having faith in that. ❤

I went to high school with Nate, and our circles of friends overlapped. We went to punk shows together, went to the same parties, etc. He was always pretty well spoken, but definitely the wild child. Full of crazy stories, and everyone knew who he was in our small-ish, straight-laced town. He was always well-liked though. Can't believe he made it all the way to LA. Really hoping he can turn his life around, he's very bright and charismatic. Good luck, man!

Love ya Nathan. Its been a long time-- never thought in my wildest dreams that I'd see you on this channel. I watch this channel regularly-- to both keep up on what's going on out there and also to remind myself of what my life would look like if I were to ever return to active addiction. You know you're not living right brother; you gotta find yourself a bed and clean out. You're up against it; I know. But there's more to life-- and you know it. No matter how much of it you have left. If I can help you find detox, reach out! Love you man 💜 -Ross Hendricks

@@tracykj56 I know you mean well, but the worst thing you can do with someone is addiction is indulge them. Abuse is a reason people (,like myself) used drugs or drank, but that's just part of it, there's our behaviour too, our destructiveness, our impact on others, that's down to us. And without a reality check, sobriety then radical therapy, you won't recover. Addicts want to hear from people like you, it maintains the delusion, continues the cycle. Eventually you need to turn around and say, your experiences don't give you the right to damage others.

If not I understand your skeptical POV..But its really not hard to see this person still has good in him , I see allot of anxiety and self consciousness tho which is gonna be really hard deal with because it'll get worse than Normal when sober , His age may be a negative too because usually once addicts use past 40yrs they don't stop but he still has a chance 💯

How was your childhood? "It was really really good, when I was 9 I had to learn how to defend myself from my dad being drunk and beating the shot out of me while raising an infant and drinking liquor" When I hear this shit, it makes me realize how I thought my childhood was normal. Seems like a good guy and obviously knows what the problem is. I myself have had a hard life lost everyone by 15 and doctors would tell me a name to the problem, which gives it a sense of ok. I refused to accept it and made it work. Took my loyalty to the streets and put it towards business took addiction to dope change it to the gym. Am 42 myself can't say I fixed it but I can say life is way better. It's to easy to just get a bag or pick up a drink put of the problem but it's so rewarding when you fix it, even if it's doing 1 less bag then yesterday your in the right direction. Knowing your not going to fix 20 years of bad decisions in a month or two, it takes years. I also look at it as a blessing every bad situation that happens I can give you 5 pros for it happing. Good luck to anyone going through anything like this but only one way to fix it

This guy has such a troubled upbringing! It's tragic! Is it any wonder these traumatized people find their escape in heroin? They're trying so hard to block out all the pain. I was addicted to heroin. When you're on it you can't imagine getting off. Seems impossible. But i used suboxone. It worked because it blocks the heroin. After a year on suboxone i just got over wanting heroin. Then started weening down on suboxone until eventually i was taking a tiny piece twice a day. Anyways my point is that you can get off the fentynyl. It's nowhere near as impossible as it seems.
@baublesanddolls
@baublesanddolls Жыл бұрын
So true. I seem to preach suboxone as though I'm selling it, but it definitely works and with no withdrawal from whatever drug you use. I used it to get off fentanyl which I tried on my own for two years. It was impossible and I was ready to kill myself because I couldn't take another day of being dope sick. Finally, I found an awesome doctor who helped me with suboxone. Now I'm slowly weaning myself off. Addicts have to be ready and want to stop using before they start suboxone. It got my life back.

He's 100% right when he says it's alarming how no one stops to help. A few years ago, I witnessed two boys bullying another boy, pushing and punching him. I was at the corner store and was watching this happen and people just walked by, and these were kids... like 10 years old. After I paid, I left the store and it was still happening. I was the only one who got involved. And you know what, they stopped. Our world is the way it is because people put on blinders every day they walk out of their homes.

I'm guessing he has hepatitis C. His mental health definitely needs to be treated. His comments definitely confirm his borderline traits. I sincerely wish him the best. Struggling everyday is no way to live. Maybe a maintenance program with co-occurring treatment would turn his life around. You need to have the desire to change your situation.
