You are an amazing woman and I hope that you heal and the depression ends. I have experienced loss, not with a child or spouse, so I know time doesn't heal all wounds, however, I pray that you learn to live with the loss. You are truly an angel for sharing your story. To this day, every time one of these videos comes up on my feed I say “oh no, not another one 😢.” I appreciate all the families who have shared the most devastating story of their lives. I use your stories to educate my 20 yr old son and the youth I work with. I don’t like saying “sorry” for your loss, because the word seems so meaningless in these situations. But, I am so sorry you lost Alex to this awful epidemic 😢 Sending you both and your family lots of hugs 🤗 healing ❤️🩹 and prayers. Thank you for sharing Alex’s story 🫶🏽 I’m half way through your story and I did not at all expect your story to take the turn it took, losing your husband and then 5 hrs later your son 😢 My sincere condolences 💐

I feel like my generation glamorized casual drug use and pills. These young people are growing up with a false sense of safety. I remember class mates with pills and weed and engaging in dangerous risky behaviours and now we are in our 40s with no lasting consequences. These young people are faced with one pill can kill and getting addicted to these chemical monster drugs. My condolences to this dear family. Thanks for sharing your story

You are so right in that fact. Everyone should have the antidote to this killer drug. The sad thing about my son is they had just started giving Narcan at pharmacy’s in 2017 when I lost my son Anthony. He said he wasn’t doing H (his turned out to be all Fentanyl) or anything anymore. He may have relapsed. It’s a different world out there now. No longer to be trusted. No one should be trusted. God Bless the parent who lose their child🙏🏼😢

I am so sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing this specific story. I'm 48, and when I was 18-25, I could have easily been in the friend group of Alex ... but times back then, even us dumb kids had the opportunity to be stupid, and not have it result in us getting 100% addicted or die. Thankfully, I've moved on, but I do have a heart for the many, many young men that are in the same situations with much greater risk. You ladies are SO STRONG, and very effective communicators of a tragic and personal story. Keep up the work. Your story will save people.

You can see the numbness in Yolanda still and the nervous laugh of Elidia. So unbelievably sad for both these women. And little Ace growing up without a Dad. So tragic. What is surprising to me, having also lost friends to Fentanyl, is that Alex bought it on purpose and knew what he was buying and addicted to. My friends did not and thought they were consuming something else but it was tainted. This current government has been an epic fail on many levels and Fentanyl awareness is just one. I'm praying for RFK to be elected to fix this mess in America this year. God bless your grieving family. Thank you Texas Pictures for all you do.
