The foundations do not oxidise. I wish people would stop saying it because it is untrue. The water in the foundation evaporates and the true colour remains and it does not change. An oxidising foundation changes colour throughout the day.

I knew I would be in the 300's, so the first thing I did when I got to the store was put them all in my cart while I waited for my swatches to dry down. Good thing I did because they only had one 370 and it turned out to be my shade. I got the foundation, primer, and highlight brush, but after this review, I may go back for that foundation brush.

I have dry skin and I used Laura Mercier hydrating primer without setting it with all over powder ... like I normally do... I just set it with setting spray; it give me a nice look.. 7 hours later my finish was still flawless..

Y'all never fail me! Lol. Some people are disappointed y'all didn't use all Fenty products; however, I'm glad y'all didn't because I can't get the whole line at once. This is proof her products can be used with some of the stuff I already have until I can purchase more things from the collection. I have dry skin and it works for me! If your skin care routine is appropriate for dry skin and you use a nourishing/moisturizing primer, you can enjoy most matte foundations.

I havent tried Fenty primer. Too face hangover primer is great for dry skin. If Im being honest, your skincare routine is what determines dryness/flakiness, not primer. At night I exfoliate with AHAs, which are great for dry skin. In the morning before makeup, I use a a non-foaming cleanser, hydrating toner, antioxidant-rich serum, moisturizer, an oil like Argan or Marula oil. Then of course sunscreen. Your routine shouldn't have irritating essential oils, fragrance/dyes, silicones, chemical screens, SLS and drying alcohols.

Great video, thanks ladies. I tend to use the same foundation shade as you, but I got 420 in the Fenty vs. the 440 since it dried darker. Hopefully she will come out with powders with the 2018 Spring launch; I have only seen new glosses (Puma x Rihanna from NYFW). The blotting powder on shelves now is amazing though! Not for setting, but great for blotting.

i do wonder if it's oxidizing or drying down because in my experience when foundation oxidizes it turns orange or grey but these just get darker. its like when you paint something and it dries a little darker, we never say the paint oxidizes. thats just my thought

Definitely right about the foundation getting darker as it sets. I swatched 410 and 420 on my hand at Ulta and now an hour later, I see the difference. I think what she meant by "retouch" in the primer's description was like how when you do a photoshoot, the photographers retouch the pictures and make the skin look soft and smooth...kinda like wearing a filter...hence the name of the foundation and prime "Pro Filt'r"

My skin can get pretty dry and I was scared it wouldn't work for me.. So I got a sample.. I made sure I moisturized well and I really liked it.. it lasted and I wasn't dry or flaky in my dry areas like I am with some foundations.. good review. this will be the LAST fenty beauty review I watch as I've watched about 80. Lol. At least until more products are released. I purchased the foundation, a highlighter, the blender sponge and the lip gloss. Impressed so far. I wanna go back to get the primer and more highlighters.
