I think Rhi coming out with her hair launch and having just her natural curl (cut short due to hair loss) when she did was spot on. One of the largest insecurity for moms is how hormones have affected your hair. Having to cut your hair due to postpartum hair loss or dealing with a complete change in your hair pattern can be very challenging.
@iknowleeАй бұрын
I can see that correlation but what about now? was this line designed for that? has she ever referenced that or used it in her promo?
@sherwood9917Ай бұрын
@@iknowlee During the promotion for the line, she, actually, did speak about postpartum hair loss and damage, and mentioned that was one side effect of pregnancy she had not expected. Her last child is maybe one year old. For many women, it takes a few years for the hair loss to stop or for the hair to return to its normal state.

Where I live, all I see are buss-down wigs and maybe girls with sister locks. I’d love to see the braided baldie out and about. Could’ve been the new pixie style for our era 💅🏽

I love the braided baldie look. Also, I think it's good for a protected style under a wig. Once you remove it, you still have a hairstyle to rock. If I didn't have long locs, I would definitely try it for this reason. Love the new series as well!

You "grew up" with Rihanna & "never saw her real hair"??? All those short hairstyles she wore. When she kept her real hair in a low bun and attended multiple awards shows???🙄.
@iknowleeАй бұрын
did it give healthy hair or repaired hair?
@bluehibiscus502Ай бұрын
Doesn’t matter. You said you haven’t seen her real hair. In addition, “healthy hair” is relative.

The most hilarious thing about the Cecred promotion was the last video where Beyonce was getting her hair washed by a professional, but narrating the process in the first person- "next I use, then I add, I am making sure to rinse the product from the hairline, then I rinse". It would have been more relatable or impactful if she had shown herself using her products to wash her hair.

Definitely going to love this series 💜 ok I agree with most of what you said EXCEPT that when it comes to Cecred, another part of Cecred that I felt was confusing was that this was launched as a Beyonce line instead of a Ms. Tina line! I really think we all know and love Ms. Tina like you said. To the point that she has made a name for herself all on her own! We know she is a healthy hair specialist ie Beyonces hair. I wish it would’ve been launched as a Ms. Tina line and it would’ve made more sense for me. Lowkey I feel like it is Ms. Tina’s line. 🤔

I love this series! The only celebrity brand that makes total sense to me is pattern beauty. Tracee actually wears her hair out and it seems to be healthy. However, I enjoy supporting smaller black/women led brands for splurges or store brands that won’t break the bank.

I totally agree! That would be the first (and probably only) celebrity hair brand that I would try out on my hair. The thing is, I already have a great arsenal of hair products that I've been using since 2017 (Camille Rose, Kinky Curly, Qhemet Biologics, and Oyin Handmade) and I'm sure other women can relate. I think it's too late for celebrities to monopolize on hair care when a majority of us have already found our staple products.
@melodya4833Ай бұрын
Yes Tracee and Tabitha Brown are the main ones who can sell me on hair care. Now if Queen Latifah did one I’d be interested…think we have enough though

@@jameragilbreath2633Indeed. I’ve been natural since 2008, so I’m not new to this. There would be no need for me to venture into celebrity hair care. And if I were to seek out another brand, it would be something that is from a BWOB.

In response to what you were saying about Beyoncés image: I think what some ppl miss about Beyoncé, and it may be an age/generation thing, is that the incognito, mysterious shift only came about in the past decade. You’d have to scroll wayyyyy down in her Instagram but she did used to post captions and more candid (kinda lol) things on Instagram. She used to give interviews. She used to be everywhere all the time (hence Keri Hilson telling her to sit down and have some babies lol). Her priorities seemed to change some time after she became a mom. She’s always struck me as someone who is a student of the game…she’s also over 40. The artists she looked up to and grew up on did their job and went home. There was a clear separation between their careers and their private lives. They let their work speak for them and didn’t pretend to be besties with the fans. She’s kinda a throwback to that. Personally, I prefer that kinda pop star. As far as Cecred is concerned, I absolutely believe her when she says she wanted the brand to be able to stand on its own without her needing to be the one marketing it all the time. That’s how you build longevity and keep the conversations about the products. You can tell that she’s hired ppl who really know their shit bc the marketing and overall rollout has been great. I love that you constantly see Tina, Dr Kari, and Neal Farinah discussing and promoting the brand. They are ACTUAL stylists and seem to be trying to educate ppl not on how to get super long hair but how to achieve HEALTHY hair. They literally do an education segment in their instagram every week, if I recall correctly. This and the quality of the products show that they took their time and did their homework with this. I will say, though, that I disagree about Cecred needing to be the only product from Beyoncé. She’s not someone who has a million side hustles but the few we’ve gotten from her seem to be quality stuff. The perfume smells great and is long lasting and although I haven’t gotten to try the whiskey yet, I’ve heard great things from my fellow whiskey drinkers. I love that Beyonce is leaning in to the luxury sector. Her brand is that of someone who isn’t super accessible and we know she’s wealthy af so it makes sense. LOL.

You’re right about Rihanna being a brand. The relatability is a part of that. That’s a part of the image. As far as the brands she has, my issue is that the quality generally isn’t there with most of what she sells and it gives cash grab. Fenty Haircare, Savage Fenty, etc. These aren’t quality products. The lingerie is literally dollar store quality, SEVERAL of the haircare users have said some of the products can’t be used together, and the skincare doesn’t do much of anything.

Fenty is not a flop she just had a new launch in London if it was flopping she wouldn't be having new launches in different locations Plus Beyonce's hair care line reviews have been 50/50 just like Fenty hair put Beyonce's line is better for straight naturals it's really good if you like to blow dry your hair straight Fenty years more for the natural girlies and I noticed a lot of mixed girls use Fenty hair products

When it comes to my hair, I am very picky and hate trying new products just cuz. & the products I buy are need based only cause I be scared. lol. The early marketing for Fenty Hair I think said Hair line so I thought extensions/fake hair, which would make sense with how she rocked her hair throughout the years so I was definitely shocked when it was hair care products.
