2023.10.29.上り便 Ferry Toshima 2 is an important means of transportation connecting mainland Japan and the Tokara Islands. Please take a look at the 180 degree inversion of the shore at Akuishijima Port in the Tokara Islands.

Did i see somewhere where it said, that the ship was going to do a 180 degree flip? I think it was 180 degree rotate.
@クリアウォータージャーニー8 ай бұрын
Since there are only small ports on Japan's remote islands, this method of turning 180 degrees and docking is used. This is a sight that is not uncommon in Japan!

This is Akusekijima in the Tokara Archipelago in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a wonderful island that is called the last unexplored region.

What is the little torpedo type device that brings the mooring line ashore? Very clever

Looks like the guy on deck shoots a lead line from a gun to the shore. Then the guy onshore pulls the hawser tied at the end of the lead line to the mooring post. The illusion is that the hawser swims itself over to the dock!
@クリアウォータージャーニー8 ай бұрын
@@smudgey1kenobey You're right! Pneumatic line throwers are fired from the bow and stern of the ship, which is the biggest event when the ferry berths. It's always fun to watch the mooring rope come running like a torpedo!
@robinmckinlay36328 ай бұрын
@@smudgey1kenobey Yes. I have watched the clip several times and don't spot when the line was fired to the shore/jetty.

The coordinates you looked up are correct! A strange festival called ``Poze'' is held on Akuseki Island, and it has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Crew on dock about to lift gangway are in a dangerous spot from that forward spring line as the vessel is still not fast to the bollardsaft.
@クリアウォータージャーニー8 ай бұрын
The people trying to lift the gangway are the islanders of Akuseki Island. This is how they prepare to assist in smooth boarding. The ports of the Tokara Islands need the cooperation of the islanders.

NOW KZbin , YOU NEED TO BRING THAT CAPTAN TO THE BOAT RAMPS ON THE BIG DAN SHOW AN SHOW THE DUMBOES HOW TO DOCK A BOAT , THAT WAS SUCH A PLEASURE TO WATCH , AMERICANS SHOULD WATCH THIS AND SEE HOW IT'S DONE PROFESSIONALLY 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@クリアウォータージャーニー8 ай бұрын
That's a good idea! THE BIG DAN SHOW I want to show off my professional boat handling skills on the show, but the captain is busy so it's difficult.WW

Thank you for replying , I never thought that I'd get a reply, The Ferry Toshima has a VERY talented Captain I admire his skills , Now if you take some time out to watch the Big Dan Show it's about ordinary people going out on the water BUT there boat launching skills is horrendous, And even worse when they try to get the boat back on the trailer , And more than half of these boaters cant reverse a car and trailer american assholes think they know everything . If you have some spare time watch how 4x4 and ordinary drivers treat 18 wheelers they break check them for no reason utter morons Stan Edinburgh Scotland uk .
