@@LeamonPuppy yeah, yesterday and today i cant get into feral dont matters how much i clicked in join. since they need to notify the players 30 days before the game close, they're moving it to 21th of march, but all of this time we need to wait, the feral will be closed sadly. well, i think thats true- someone said it on the Feral discord server before it shut down edit: Since if everyone join feral at the same time, it could glitch a lot since so much people are joining at the same time. but it would be resolved in some hours because some people would leave and the game would have been stabilished now, so, i think it could be true that the last day was moved to 21th of march

Wild works is just killing itself, they’re neglecting and killing off aj classic and feral, and it’s making nfts? which is, like, the opposite of what their cause was??? and plus, many animal jam you tubers have quit aj, so the community is dying aswell! they’re moving on to other games. As a person who plays Classic more than Play Wild, it's honestly just depressing how they recycle updates and call them "new", whilst games like Cinder and Play Wild get all the new things, it just feels like Classic is the game that gets overly ignored for games like Play Wild, which doesn't even look that good, in my opinion, and Classic is stuck as a buggy hell that only gets recolors of already pre-existing items that are then labeled as "new", WildWorks is accurately enough just ASKING to lose money, considering most of their money comes from AJ Classic memberships, last i checked, even worse, WildWorks made Classic almost fully Members Only, with all the features being limited to the Members, heck, even Nonmembers sometimes get bullied just because they don't want to/can't afford a Membership. That has been my essay, good job if you read the entire thing up to this point.

It’s a shame wildworks can’t handle their company anymore.. even animal jam just doesn’t feel like it used to anymore. And it’s not even the players fault, since ajhq could definitely handle toxic players and online predators better then they are atm. Ever since this started happening, and since I discovered feral, I started playing the game more and more. I never spent any money on it, but I did spend a heck of a lot of time on there. It’s just so sad that they would choose an almost knockoff NFT game over feral. I really did think feral had the potential.

To be fair, there is some risk inherent in putting money into any MMO. There's always going to be that looming threat of the game shutting down at some point. If you're not comfortable with potentially losing everything you bought, then don't spend money on an MMO. That being said, I think Feral's situation is different. There was honestly something off about it from the get-go, at least that's how it felt to me. It felt like they released it too early, weren't doing enough updates, and being very vague about what was going on behind the scenes. While I understand that some level of secrecy is industry standard for any game like Feral, this just felt a bit like it was too much secrecy. At the time I thought maybe it was just some new world building thing they were trying, but looking back, it does make me feel like they were intentionally keeping their guard up because they were developing Cinder alongside Feral, and basically using us as a test group to figure out what to do with Cinder to make it more marketable. They most likely weren't going to keep Feral going for too long regardless, but it was probably expedited when they received the extreme amount of backlash that they did after announcing Cinder. If things had gone the way they so wrongly assumed it would, Feral probably would have been sunsetted like AJ Classic, but since they garnered so much hate from the Feral community, they decided to cut their losses and save their egos from being popped by just shutting it all down. Shame things went the way they did, but I can't say I'm surprised. WildWorks is acting like a scared dog, tucking their tail and fleeing at the first sign of danger.

Dont forget the fact that cinder is basically just feral with the maps and stuff. My opinion is that they shut down the game because they dont want feral to compete with cinder since feral is free (with in app purchases of course) and cinder costs money to play basically.

@@Cynikari I can see why you would have that idea, and it's a possibility. Personally, I think it was less so that they were worried about competition; if there's one thing I know about cryptobros, a lot of them will blindly buy into just about anything if it's marketed in a certain way, and will take any opportunity to flaunt their social status, so they would most likely just use Cinder as a way to "flex" on anyone playing Feral. I think it was more to do with the sheer amount of damage the Feral community caused after Cinder was announced. They blew up both Feral's and Cinder's Discord servers, they spread a wildfire of information on the implications of NFTs, and they attacked Clark Stacey so directly and with so much force that he basically was backed into a corner and lashed out like a screaming toddler. His knee-jerk reaction to being dunked on was to act like an entitled brat and more or less say "if you're not with me, you're against me" and slam the door on Feral's whole community. It's fairly obvious at this point that WildWorks' emotional maturity in the face of backlash is comparable to that of a DeviantArt edgy teenager's. They do something that's obviously wrong and get called out for it, they decide to get violently defensive and dig themselves into a mile deep hole.

I hate wildworks. They are making stupid decisions for there company. Ever since 2020 they’ve been on a downhill slide. I spent over 30 dollars on feral and it’s all gone. I spent 8+ hours getting levels for stupid wings. The game had so much dang potential and wildworks had to frick that up once more. Wildworks isn’t gonna get far with cinder, they’ve been making stupid choices lately and I don’t know what’s with them, but I refuse to stand for this. So much effort, money, and time, players put into there diminishing games. It’s really sad to see how awful they’ve been lately, I can’t say I’m not disappointed, a lot. i woke up and was scrolling through yt and now my heart is shattered. I was one of the beta testers and i remember the hype i had when i signed my email up hoping to be accepted as a beta tester. wow even though i never rly got addicted to feral like i did to aj, i still liked that game, it has amazing graphics and costumizing my avatar was sm fun.. it's a shame that i couldnt play it one last time despite kinda quitting the game due to it heating up my laptop, crashing and lagging a lot. i guess feral was doomed to begin with

Fer.al was shut down out of spite. Plain and simple. Clark has really shown his true colors Fer.al did not shut down because it wasn’t successful. The game reopen date is actually March 20/21st, not feb 19. They changed it because it was against their own tos, which stated they had to give 30 day notice before closing down a game :) This was stated in the discord ama before the discord closed down.

If people spent money on Fer.al and now lost it all due to it's shut down it's unfortunately all on them. When you buy currency, items, etc on games such as Fer.al or Animal Jam, you don't actually own them. You just pay the company to have access to them but they are still the ones who own that data. If that data is gone, theoretically you still have the access to something it's just that that something doesn't exist anymore. I wish we could go back to when you could just buy a game on a cartridge/CD and just own the copy of the game you bought :c

While your mostly correct in your statement, the key reason people bought spent money on Fer.al and were so upset when they found out it was gonna be scrapped is simply because Wildworks never once said it was a prototype, experiment, or anything like that. People spent money because they didn’t think it would just be shut down with little to no warning whatsoever.

Part of the reason that Feral is getting shut down, I believe, is because of just how much backlash they got from the Fer.al community. There was so much constant bashing of Wildworks for months, even before Cinder went into development, because they just wouldn't improve the game in the way players wanted it. Management probably saw this "toxic" community (who were generally quite nice to each other) and decided it wasn't worth the trouble to keep the game up. They REALLY want Cinder to be a success, and having "kids" running around, constantly trying to make a scene about how bad their new NFT game is... isn't that appealing to investors. So just shut the game down and hope they'll all leave you alone! (And, of course, the fact that Feral was unprofitable. Which I kind of believe, considering just how much of the updates were paid content)

@annoying orange stans anonymous Oh wow, I don’t get recognized for FC often. I’m glad you liked my website! I put a lot of time (and money, oof) into it, so it’s always nice to see fans. And yeah, the stated reason for Ferals shutdown, and definitely the main one, was the cost. Feral was never actually profitable from what I’ve heard, it was a huge investment that made them no money back. It makes sense from a business perspective why they would do what they did, reusing assets, but it still stings. Why keep investing in something you don’t know will ever meet the point of profitability? Especially with NFTs are the hot thing right now. Personally I don’t buy the idea that Cinder was always in the cards or even planned before 2021 rolled around. The timeframes just line up too well to when Feral stopped receiving new season passes.

I don’t think so :) animal jam has a lot of active players and jambassadors on top of that. The reason they shut feral down was because it didn’t have many players.

You should go check out kek an AJ KZbinr who makes videos stuff thats going on with wild works his most recent video talks about the date being changed to March 21 to play feral before they shut down the game forever they have give players a 30 day notice or something but it's stupid how they don't really inform feral players about this change they said something about in the discord but it wasn't pinged and it was said by a moderator or something they didn't update there Twitter or Instagram about this change or even stated the game is closing it's like they want the game to be forgotten

Okay so I don't really play AJ or Fer.al anymore but this is a very stupid decision on their part. Literally no one is going to use Cinder because most of the Fer.al and AJ fandom (I think and also correct me if I'm wrong) are like 5-19 year olds. Children don't know what NFTs are and teenagers/early adults would have some knowledge on it so there's like a 25/75 chance they would actually check it out and make NFTs on it (again, correct me if I'm wrong). A lot of people enjoyed AJ classic, AJ and Fer.al as games, it was my whole childhood since I loved animals as a kid. Wildworks is just burning itself to the ground now.

Why would they SHUT DOWN the game when they could just leave the game servers up and just say "Hey this game isn't going to get any new updates sorry!" Then make a new game similar but not a mirror copy of the game.. "Oh but the game didn't give us enough money" if you keep the servers up people will still buy things in the shop.. I play a game called Astroflux. A game that had been around since 2012 and stopped getting updates ENTIRELY during 2016.. Just like fer.al, it was not finished but get this.. THEY STILL HAVE GAME SERVERS UP TO THIS DAY. Astroflux was also a FLASH game.. and yet people STILL spend money on it!! So fer.al doing this is just stupid as sh&#

I probably spent $50+ on body modifications, accessories, and Premium Season Pass tiers. I loved Feral, I grew up on Animal Jam, and had recently abandoned it when AJHQ’s polices failed to serve me whatever. My rarest items were mysteriously hacked in May 2020, I provided a detailed report and proof I owned the items, rejection. There’s always a risk for a game to shut down and die if it’s not monetarily successful, I understood that. However, I’m extremely disappointed about the circumstantial context; They’re jumping on a crypto fad, possibly stealing player designs, and might’ve never intended Feral to be more than an experiment at all… I’m not entirely sure about the last detail’s truth? Regardless, I guess that disservice to an Animal Jam member- a paying player for over four years- was an ominous sign of irresponsible events to come. The security breaches, the mass-hacks, the potential child predators. Feral has tragically died. Enjoy the Animal Jam games while you can. If WildWorks never redeems themselves, I guarantee they’re next.

Ok here are my thoughts Fer.al seems pretty unfinished. In my opinion it seems like a mythical animal version of genshin impact which i quite like and appreciate, genshin is unfinished and still going until this day. But im really sad abt this, fer.al never got improved, it was just ignored "finished" and seems to me ALMOST ALL the updates are literally "bugs fixed" "fixed censorship" no addments to the story, no new locations. And well, Fer.al isnt a fail, it isnt unsuccessful. They never even TRIED to imrpove it after everyone's criticism and what they could add to make it more fun or maybe adding things to the game that people who hate most of the things and they'll add the things that that person likes to they wont 10% hate it? I never played fer.al , it is very buggy. But at first, the impression is very good though! I loved fer.al even though i didnt stay for long. Noticing i was underage for fer.al and discovering the non - filtered chat system that had alot of adult - stuff so i decided to quit and return when im old enough but seeing fer.al getting shut down... i- i cant... i just cant-. You can go to fer.al if ur bored with animal jam play wild mobile because it's more wide, fun, and less restrictions. It allows you to chose for yourself. I cant imagine how the youtubers who quit animal jam mobile and moved to fer.al feel right now. It must be rlly sad for them... i wish they couldve updates fer.al more and try to expand the community but- this... They did THIS for success- I CANT- this is just sad and dissapointing...

My older sister used to play it, she stopped, and Fer.al has sounded like a wonderful game, I really wanted to give it a chance, it sounds like a wonderful game, I don't feel like they like Fer.al and they just want the money, I hope they get sued if they steal someone's oc, like my sisters or someone's popular oc, I feel like they don't care about teenagers and young adults feelings.. poor Fer.al it should have been given a chance.. rest in peace Fer.al, from March 2nd, 2021, to March 21st, 2022.

Oh gosh, I’ve been waiting to play fer.al since I was eight (during beta) and about nine when it came out (age reasons) the characters in fer.al are so amazing and I wished I could have made an account to play with my cousin. Wildworks has just shut down an amazing game with awesome people, I wish they weren’t so greedy. LMBO, I JUST GOT A NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC COMMERCIAL XD
