6:24 "electric field in that single wave period is made strong enough to rip off an electron". I am not sure whether this is consistent with quantum mechanics, say, photoelectric effect where electron does not absorb a photon no matter its intensity, unless the frequency matches the electron's state transition energy.

Really makes you think about how much is actually going on in the universe. It's not just vastness of space and matter, it's constant boiling evolution on every level. Like, in terms of data, just imagine the number of updates it would take to describe the particles in your body during each second.

Professor Krausz gives a very good explanation to understanding what goes on, and how it goes on, here in how we we measure/see(?) attoseconds. i know next to nothing in physics but his explanation in the subject topic (which might take many courses to understand to get for the layman) came clearly to for me to understand at some levels. very cool stuff! question...what Professor Krausz is explaining here in regards to their research and its impact on computational efficiency & speed, this is photonic or optical computing?

Could you open any opportunities to receive & accept one of proposal from Indonesian researches to join your collaborative work in your Institute? Our countries will push a few of our top researcher from Indonesia to be accepted into your research institute? Because Indonesia's Goverment has put aside any Sovereign Education Fund amounted US$ 3 billions in order to give scholarship to any Indonesian young people to pursuit higher education research in science & technology, notably the one that deals with Quantum Physics or attosecond technology as well (at the Max Planx Institute of Quantum Optics).
