Owned our TEA20 for 42 years. It was built the same month I was born & sold the same month my wife was born. Just finished a rebuild (just "fixed" not restored) and it is back to tip top shape. Good to see another one saved as they are great tractors.

It is a wonderful sound when you first get them going. I bought mine a couple of years ago and it hadn't been started in at least 15 years. Day or two of work and ample cussing, the old girl runs again. She has travelled more than me, arrived in Victoria Australia 1n 1948, born in late 1947 TEA20, Sn: 26502 like so many kids during and after the war to work on the farms, a 10-pound pommie (where would Australia be without them), moved to South Australia still got her blue stripe on the bonnet, and like all us geriatrics retired in Queensland after working in the cane fields for a while. Now peacefully living on a property where she can get out in the paddocks, do a little slashing and use her carry-all to help stop the parts from freezing up, keep the joints lubricated.

We used to crank start our old McCormick Deering W6 all the time. My dad taught me to always keep my thumb on the same side as my fingers so that if it backfired it at least wouldn't break your thumb. Love the old tractors, wish I still had one to fart around with but I live in town now (sucks).

Essentially a British version of the Ford 8N. Ferguson was given all of the engineering drawings and material specifications for the 8N when they settled with Ford over the 3 point PTO and lift dispute. I have a 48 and a 52 8N both flatheads…Ford did not build a OHV engine tractor until the Jubilee in 53. Nice machine. I’ll lay odds that a 8N 12 volt conversion kit will fit it with little modification.

Make sure the fuel is on straight petrol to start it first.😃

Good video! You are missing the manifold cover to keep the vaporizer warm for burning TVO

With a little TLC these tractors will virtually run forever, they are so light on the ground and they turn on a sixpence, with the hydraulics properly set they are fantastic with a mould board plough,, though I'm not so sure with your disc plough.

You may find you have the wrong water pump on the fergie. It is a standard engine and it may be someone put the car waterpump on it. Instead of the one for the tractor. Hope this helps you.😁

I think your tractor is a Tea model not the Ted. Because on the Ted the airfilter intake is on the dash. Also it's 6 volt the Ted is a 12 volt. Nice tractor good little project.😁

It's a TED, it has the double tank.
