Scope on a shotgun why?

Hunting with slugs probably. Also shotguns can be lethal with buckshot out to like 75 yards. Don’t think with fiction logic.

A good shotgun setup with a rifled barrel, a decent scope, and good slugs is good for 150+ yards...

Its not a shotgun its is a "Drilling" so it has two shotgun barrels and a rifle barrel underneath them. Very common in germany, austria and switzerland.
